The Moon Night Ao Nang Hotel

The location of this hotel was perfect! Walking distance to Haad Rin Beach and all the shops and restaurant but far enough away not to hear loud music from any of the party places. We were pleasantly surprised with our pool view and the rooms are nice and spacious. Staff were lovely, even carried our bags to the room because the elevator was down (was fixed within 10 mins). It was clean and cleaned daily if you wanted. Happy with our stay

The tv in our room didn’t work, but we wasn’t in the room much so didn’t mind too much (that’s just if being picky). Also the wifi went down and was very intermittent, we haven’t got a Thailand sim with data so we rely on wifi to book our next stays etc so this was important for us to have. It also meant we couldn’t FaceTime our family properly. I was told by reception that was an issue and they were trying to fix it, but even after it was ‘fixed’ it still would carry on going off.

Quiet location and fairly sound proofed rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, room felt secure, shower pressure was good. Excellent Thai food directly across the road on the street! Loved buying the whole grilled fish to share.

A decent walk to and from the beach, but it didn't bother us, walking far is natural for humans. Lots of little ants, no drama, but I suggest you request your rubbish be removed daily if it has crumbs of food in it. There is no lift, so if that bothers you, don't book here. I knew it had no lift and I was perfectly happy booking here nonetheless.

Bedrooms are quite nice and the bed is super comfortable. We liked the view to the main street (always busy) although it was a bit noisy at times. The balcony and clothes rack was a huge plus. The staff was very nice to us and really helpful with day to day topics. We also didn't have warm water at first (like some comments state) but we talked with reception and in a flash they came and showed us how it worked.

Location is not very central, although at walking distance to the center (around 20 min walk). Our bedroom was unfortunately on the 2nd floor without lift, which for backpackers is always a small climb. We also didn't understand why the tour prices were more expensive than those at any tour stall downtown. No motorcycles were available for rent so we had to recur to other agencies (which were minimum 10 minutes walking distance from Moon Night). Finally, we tried to change our reservation dates and were rejected due to hotel policy, which was disappointing.

very clean rooms, exceptionally nice staff- very kind and helpful and honest. Met the owner briefly who was also very sweet and friendly too. The hotel is conveniently located a little further away from the main town centre of Ao Nang which we loved because you’re just a few minutes bike ride away from the centre but far enough to not be disturbed by the loud noises in the centre. The hotel is conveniently located near the local market and there are lots of great places to eat nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here. Very good value for money.

The hotel may not have a pool or such facilities but for the price it’s really the best you can find in Ao Nang and very clean and comfortable so I definitely recommend it!

Super comfy bed in a large room. Fast wifi and nice to have a balcony. Free drinking water in the lobby. 7/11 nearby and quiet at night. Extra towel provided when we had torrential rain and some water leaked into the room.

Shower wasn’t hot but was bearable - swimming pool water temperature. 30 minute walk to the beach was ok but takes a little while. Lack of amenities in the room with no hairdryer and kettle. Cash only on arrival. Cockerel at 5am each day.

The staff were lovely, helped us organise a bike whilst we stayed there. The hotel was clean on arrival but ants seemed to appear out of nowhere! Free refillable water which is great in the heat and a bonus for the environment!

Some ants in the room, no inner curtains so either big curtains were open and you could see right into the room or curtains closed and no natural light. We chose a room with a balcony but no balcony furniture was supplied so we couldn’t actually use the balcony!

This hotel was lovely. Good location, 5min drive by ped or 20ish min walk to the beach, shops and restaurants near by. free coffee and drinking water in reception. room was spacious, clean and modern. staff are lovely and helpful

the hotel is very clean ,location is great around 10-15 min walk from Ao nang beach , and the staff is very friendly and respectful , the hotel staff communicate directly after I booked the room , moreover you can ask the staff to keep your luggage after you checkout , and you can ask for early check in late check out if the rooms are available which is something very nice ❤️

I just liked everything about the hotel- the location, the room, the fabulous Mountain View, the early check in and the friendly and helpful staff! I even expended my stay there for a few more days. best value for money! very recommended!

the bathroom area was not that new, but everything worked well.

the bathroom window was always open due to its design so insects can easily get in especially in the nights if the lights are left on.
