Aonang Phu Petra Resort, Krabi - SHA Plus

spectacular location giving dramatic views of jungle and the iconic Thailand limestone karsts. Staff wonderfully welcoming and friendly. An array of wildlife around the place- cats, lizards, peacocks, hens, dragonflies, birds. A free shuttle bus down to Ao Nang centre throughout the day and only a 15-20min walk back or a 150baht tuk tuk. There is a lovely wee all day Thai/India restaurant just 10mins walk from hotel and a great evening pizza place right opposite the hotel .

unfortunate that the restaurant isn’t open but the toast and tea/coffee breakfast buffet did the job and beer and soft drinks could be bought from reception.

Fantastic room/bathroom for the price and the swimming area is really lovely with a stunning backdrop. It was a great place for us to be as a family and we loved our stay. Would get a 10 if only there was somewhere to get a more substantial breakfast on site (there is tea/coffee/toast) but we knew that before booking. In all it's great value for money and would definitely stay again as it's a really lovely place.

It's a tuk tuk ride to beach and centre, which means you get peace and quiet but the cost of the journeys start to add up (there are complementary trips into Ao Nang but at set times each day and not return leg). Wish the hotel would stop using plastic cups/knives/butter and jam sachets for breakfast in order to reduce plastic waste.

the room was beautiful and the hotel itself as well! the rooms were really big with air con, 2 big twin beds, a shower and a bath. the pool was clean and the view to the mountain was stunning ! in the beginning we had a problem with the reservation asking for 2 rooms with 2 twin beds (ordered 3 month in advance) and they said they cant promise they can have it. but in the end they did make it happen so we were happy, just too bad we had to waste time enameling them and asking for it when it was mentioned in the booking from the begining.

the staff was just ok, not really helpful. we came with our dog to walk my dad to his roman they didn't let us even enter with him (we know the hotel wasn't pet friendly but even that was a bit extreme)

The staff makes this place wonderful. So friendly, kind and helpful! I loved my stay there and would like to thank all of the people who work in this resort! Perfect location, very quiet area, and just few minutes away from the main loud Ao Nang street. Amazing pool with the view, no loud and arrogant guests from the very famous country (yes, it's important). Just one thing: the house itself needs some maintenance and massive wet cleaning behind the curtains, under the beds and chairs. P.S. I loved the cats there, please, don't forget to feed them =D

amazing views, very big comfortable room. they even left us a very cute setup congratulating us on our engagement. they also had two very cute cats on site. if you see them they’re quite scared and hiss but warm up to you fairly quickly, we loved them! staff also very friendly and helpful. also a shuttle available at 11am to take you to the beach but it only drops you at McDonald’s…which is about a 5 min walk but 2 second drive so not sure why

there were no motorbikes to rent from the hotel so we had to walk into the centre to get some which was quite a walk. bit of a far walk to the beach and to restaurants (about 30 min walk) so you will probably need one.

The pool had an amazing view and was always quiet so felt like paradise! The staff were so lovely always saying hello and asking about our days. You get a whole massive hut with beautiful bathroom and little porch.

It was a half an hour walk to the sea front but they had a transfer multiple times a day and a grab back was only 70-80baht so we didn’t mind.

Had the best stay here. The swimming pool is one of the most beautiful spaces in a hotel I've seen, and the hotel exudes calmness and peace. Staff were very nice and helpful. I loved that the rooms were in little cabins, the porch space was an added bonus when you just wanted to sit outside in our own little space. A few wonderful cats lounging around. The free shuttle to town was very handy and fun to get, and town is only a few minutes away. The perfect choice to stay away from the craziness of ao nang but still within reach

The location is a few minutes walk from the main strip but it's very quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. The hotel staff were lovely, and the surroundings were amazing. Also got to see peacocks/macaws/praying mantises and frogs around the hotel which was amazing. Was a great experience.

Location is great, quiet and away from crowd and scenery was beautiful. You will need a bike to get to the beach or take a long walk. There is also hotel shuttle for free but only one way. Staff was excellent and the pool was great. Would recommend.

Only issue tha we had seemed specific for our bungalow. It was the furthest one so wifi wasn't in range. Other bungalows don't have that problem.

Beautiful surroundings, view of the cliff, it looked exactly like in the photos on booking. Our bungalow was huge, clean. Swimming pool was also very good. Location was about 10 minutes by walk to the main street and they even offer a free shuttle to Aonang street many times a day.

There were quite a lot of ants in our room and some other small insects, but that’s because you are surrounded by nature and there’s nothing they can do about it.
