Alpenblick Bern - kind of a hotel

Staff were great, the room was small but very efficient, and the amenities were great for a long-term traveler and seemed to be geared toward more social travelers - full laundry facility, library, etc. There were fun touches like the dry bag you could borrow to go swimming (and buy if you wanted). Decor was great. There were plug adapters available to borrow, and we were able to store our bags in a large locker after checkout. I was traveling with family this time, but I'd definitely want to stay here if I were returning to Bern with friends my age (which I fully intend to do - Bern is wonderful!).

There seemed to be no a/c in the hotel, and with high temps in the 80s F it was uncomfortably warm in the common areas in the afternoon. Each room did have a fan, and between that and leaving a window cracked overnight (lows in the low 60s/high 50s) the temperature was comfortable for sleeping. You'll get a card with your room passcode written on it; the code also lets you into the hotel if there's no one at the front desk. Take a picture of the code in case you lose the card!

It was a really lovely hotel. Everything seemed pretty new, but in a cosy way and very clean. It was very quiet as well. The room had a little kitchenette to prepare food if needed, but it all folded down and gave more space when not in use. The optional breakfast box was really good and definitely worth the money (you won't find any cheaper breakfast in Bern) and they also had some extra small foods for purchase, e.g. Bircher Musli which was nice since I don't eat much for breakfast usually. Overall I only have good things to say about my stay there.

Great location 15 minutes walk downtown or 5 minutes to the tram, nice restaurants within walking distance to the hotel as well. Appreciated the fan in the room as it was a warm few days! Also, the dry clothes bag for floating the Aare was unexpected but so nice to have and we definitely took advantage of it in the afternoons. Friendly staff & nice hotel. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel. The room wasn't that big, but the layout was incredibly well done and super practical. Loved the way it was decorated and all the little touches, like a drybag to borrow to swim in the Aare. It was clean, the bed was good, everything looked brand-new. Would recommend!

The location is a bit further away from the city center, but during your stay you get free public transport with the welcome Bern app.

Reception staffs are friendly and helpful. And the layout of the studio is beyond my expectation! Totally clean and comfortable, with stylish furnitures. Spacious room with all the essentials, cooking utensils you need, even a swimming set and a shoe horn are provided!

It is a really nice hotel run by nice people. The room was really comfortable and practical (good placement of sockets, place to leave your luggage, place to hang your clothes...). The breakfast was simple, but good, with good quality ingredients (nice cheese selection). The location was nice for me, as I was there for work. It was a 10min walk to the office and 20 min walk to the town centre. There are also buses that can take you into the centre in a few minutes. The restaurant food is great and there's a nice terrace.

The minor issue I had was the pillow, that was not good for me. But that's always personal. There was also a church nearby ringing the bells from 6am... but that's not the hotel's problem, of course.

no air con in room, though a fan is provided no full breakfast, if you want something filling in the morning, but a nice breakfast box can be delivered to your door for the morning. it is fairly far from the city center, so requires a tram (approx 10 mins journey), walking, about 30 mins

The best approach of receptionist Michelle to our questions that we have many. She helped us to download Bern Welcome card that was really very useful and nice! Michelle is very kind person. Well, she had failed electricity repaired right away. Super.

The location is close to the centre. Public transport available and it takes 15-20 to walk via nice neighbourhoods. The room and the bathroom were clean. There was no air conditioning but fan was provided. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The wifi was very good.

Great little room!! The room facilitates were amazing and really clean and looked after. Many beautiful touches such as the kitchenette turns into a little kitchen when you pull up the bench. We made breakfast which was nice after being on holidays for 3 weeks.
