Akomo Bern is right within the Bern old town and very close the main train station. Both these things made it a default choice for our 3 nights stay in Bern. Our unit was large enough with three beds, a sitting area (sofa + dinning table), a large bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. There are numerous restaurants around as well. It was a comfortable and hassle free stay for us. Amir was very helpful when we ran into some issue in operating the kitchen chimney.

The only discomforting factor was lack of a inner bolt with the main door. Since everything was punch-code/pin operated, it was slightly worrying. But nothing worth loosing our sleep about.

The location was fantastic, it was so easy to locate it from the train station and close to the old town. I liked the wide selection of complimentary coffee in the room. Also, it was nice that you entered the building and room with a pin code rather than a physical key, that reduced the anxiety of losing it.

The elevator was very small, it could barely fit two people and our two suitcases. It was also slow to arrive sometimes, but it was okay since our room was on the second floor.

It is a pretty large space for a family in Bern. Studio with bunk beds for the kids, very roomy bathroom, closets, and entire dining area with small kitchenette. Adequate utensils, plates, cups & pots/pans, which would be good if you wanted to eat in. It is literally 2 streets away from the train station, and RIGHT in the middle of downtown/Old town Bern. Super convenient to everything. Beds were very comfortable.

There are no elevators and the entrance is a tiny entryway in a small street corridor. It might be a little hard to find. Check-in is convenient at 200pm, but check-out is 10am, which could be tight with lazy teens who can't get up, lol. You entered through a punch-code, but there are no deadbolts inside either, so I felt a little worried. There's no AC, which didn't bother us. They did have a portable AC in the room (was not strong and did the work of a fan).

Amazing location only a 4-minute walk from the train station and by the Bern old town. Access to the hotel was easy as a passcode was provided for the outside door and our room door. The room was clean and the bathroom was big!

The air conditioning would randomly make very loud noises which made it difficult to sleep on some nights, although I’m not sure if that was just an issue in our room. A mini fridge would have also been nice for the room to store drinks in as it was very hot during our stay!

Amazing service provided by the property manager - very helpful and incredibly responsive - cannot be more pleased! The location is VERY CONVENIENT! 3 minutes walk to the Bern Station! Also, this is located so centrally, you can walk on to the street for amazing variety of restaurants, bars and shops. This apartment is located directly above the COOP for all your grocery and other shopping needs.

The noise level from the street can be a problem for some. We were ok even on Saturday when the party seemed to have gone on till 3AM! If you get one of the inside apartments, the noise may be lower. This is the downside of the location. Can't have the cake and eat it too! The apartment is NOT air-conditioned. It has a reasonably effective air cooler. The person sleeping on the top bunk bed will not be cooled effectively. A few pedestal fans may have been more effective! We stayed when the temperatures were in the 80s due to the heat wave - perhaps not a problem on normal summer days if the temperature does not exceed 80 F?

Easy to get to from the train. Room was ready early! The hotel owner gave exceptional service. Our son had an accident while playing when we were out for the day and needed urgent care services. The owner personally drove us to the hospital and stayed with us for three hours to help translate and to make sure all was ok. This was above and beyond his job and we are extremely grateful. I highly recommend the location to anyone traveling through Bern.

No issues, it was clean and tidy.

The hotel is located right by the train station. There is a public square nearby with table tennis and chess sets available. There are many stores and restaurants within a short walking distance. The location is good for sightseeing and the #12 bus runs close the hotel location. This bus runs through the city center and makes it easy to get to many tourist attractions in the city.

There were only three chairs at a dining room table designed for four people, which was odd. There was a standing air conditioner in the room that was undersized for the room that it was trying to cool.

Amir was great - easy to communicate with, attentive, quick to reply, straightforward and very accommodating. One of the best hosts so far. Room was spacious, clean and warm. Location is fantastic - near the main station and old town, and also right next to Coop City. Nespresso machine was a great addition.

The stay was great but I have a couple of minor feedback. I would suggest a different code for the main door and the apartment door to boost security. A way to lock the door from inside would also be great for extra security. lastly, the painting of the woman staring at you while you sleep is a little bit spooky hahaha.

Great location, only a few meters from the central train station and just at the beginning of the old city and the more commercial streets — and even so, a quiet street at night. The studio was more spacious than what it looked like in photos, beds were very comfortable and everything was clean.

Kitchenette equipment could benefit from some improvements, like adding some kind of rack or dish drainer and also cooking cutlery.

The location was fantastic. 3 minute walk from the station, close to old town, and next to a Coop. We were upgraded to the four persons’ unit - which was a fantastic gesture and made a great stay even better. And spotless doesn’t even begin to describe how clean this room was. The kitchenette was great to prepare simple meals. I would have liked some wine glasses, but on holiday drinking wine from a cooldrink glass is also fine 😄
