The first night my room was opened in the early hours of the morning and woke up with the door open. thee next night my keycards stopped working for my room so I feel there is an issue with security/keycards that needs to be resolved.

The reception team was great! Especially the gentleman I dealt with on the phone regarding the noise level above my room. Thank-you for offering us a different room. Sorry I didn’t get your name. I made a noise complaint on Sunday night around 10pm and he was lovely to deal with and made sure we had a restful night with sleep. The free drinks from the mini bar was a plus and the gym was great too.

The hotel hosted a Mykonos-themed event on Saturday night (26.08.23) with lively music and a much more lively and high spirited crowd. We were given prior notice about the event. However, the noise kept waking me up during the night, making my sleep restless. I am unsure if this is a regular occurrence on Saturdays. Apart from that, I have no complaints about my stay. Maybe the hotel can distribute ear plugs for their guests in the future.

Beautiful big modern hotel. Busy but with a good atmosphere. Spacious room, fridge stocked with complimentary water, juice and beer. Comfy bed and bathroom stocked with everything needed. Dressing table and mirror in the room. Good location with a tram to the old town and SBB station outside the door. Public transport is free with a Bern Card from the hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel but check in was very friendly and informative.

We had paid extra for a room with a balcony. Booking said it would be south facing overlooking the hotel garden. We found ourselves in an end room where the balcony was more like a terrace facing into a wilding garden with no view. Also balconies are small. You cant sit out. It was disappointing and I wouldn't have paid extra to upgrade in hindsight. Also this was the most expensive place we staying in Switzerland and there is also city tax. Not sure I would rebook just based on value for money.

The rooms at Swissotel Kursaal Bern are elegantly designed and equipped with all the modern amenities one could desire. The plush bedding, well-appointed furnishings, and luxurious bathroom made for an exceptionally comfortable and relaxing stay. The attention to detail in the room's decor truly impressed me. The breakfast spread was simply outstanding. There was an extensive variety of options to cater to all tastes and preferences. Freshly baked pastries, a selection of bread and jams, and a wide assortment of cereals and yogurts were available for those who preferred a light and healthy start to their day. For those with heartier appetites, the hot food station was a culinary dream come true. The aroma of sizzling bacon, perfectly cooked sausages. and scrambled eggs filled the air.

Beautiful big hotel.The breakfast was delicious, had a great variety. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Very close to the city center.

The hotel was very crowded, I had asked to have rooms nearby because we were a family with two small children, the request was not fulfilled. The rooms were actually not close and in fact it is on different floors,so there was a difficulty. Indeed,one of the rooms on the 4th floor had a window facing a wall and a point inside the hotel…

The room was comfortable and very clean, the staff very kind and professional. The location is great, only a few minutes from the centre of Bern's Old Town. I would stay here again.

I was asked to pay a deposit of 100 CHF or EUR upon arrival because I paid with a debit card. I was fine with that, however nowhere in the booking or the confirmation email did it mention anything about a deposit upon arrival. Additionally, the deposit needed to be paid in cash which I therefore had to withdraw from a nearby ATM. It would have been so much simpler to just withhold the deposit amount in my card like they would do if I had prepaid for the room. They gave back the deposit upon check out, so that part was straightforward enough.

Great modern, stylish, comfortable hotel. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with advice. Room was large, clean, comfortable, and stylish. They had many conveniences like a mini fridge with free drinks, plenty of counter space to put things, and a sitting room. Parking is in an underground garage and secure. The hotel is conveniently located across the bridge that connects to the downtown. We either walked or took the free bus that stops in front of the hotel. Excellent location! Would love to stay here again!.

As all things in Switzerland prices are high.

Very good value, quality renovated property, friendly service and convenient location

The location is fantastic. You walk out and just a short walk away to the main old town. I love that it’s a bit quieter and overlooking the river. Staff speak good English ( a unique thing in Bern ) and they were very helpful in explaining us how to get around, recommendations etc. Room size is great for Europe standards. Room is clean and well maintained. Mini bar is equipped and daily water , coffee capsules etc is provided. Overall we were super satisfied. Great value for money!

Rooms were a little noisy? Maybe some construction work going on. But didn’t bother us much. No air conditioner in the room - or maybe it was switched off during winter. We liked to have a little air during sleeping.

We have to tell you thanks for all, from reception Mr. Anis, Ms. Jenny was extremely helpful and friendly, the Manager Ms. Karin Kunz was also very kind and professional. The hospitality was amazing. This is the place where we always will stay if we come to Berne. The breakfast and very clean rooms, ambiance were very good. Being able to charge the car in the hotel was very helpful as well.

I believe there is nothing that we can complain about since everything was perfect, we are looking forward to the opening of the new restaurant.
