The property is in a great location, being only a short walk into the city centre. The terraces were lovely and the flowers made the hotel have a great feel.

The shower area was very small and the shower head was full of limescale, meaning that there was very little water pressure. The breakfast was also very limited, although the staff were attentive and welcoming. There was also only a thin bed sheet and small blanket available, which in the chiller evenings wasn’t ideal but I didn’t ask for more blankets so can’t complain too much. Room service also took quite some time to come.

It’s a quiet, beautiful gem of a place in the middle of it all. The location is very, very central, on a small side street, with an easy walk to the Duomo and the shopping district. It’s located in an old building with renovated, comfy and beautifully decorated rooms with a contemporary flair. The staff is helpful and personal. The breakfast is not a big buffet but served at your table. It’s small scale and intimate. This was our third visit to this hotel and we hope to be back.

There is nothing we don’t like about this hotel. It feels very private and cozy. If you are interested in a big lobby, bar and places to hang out, this is not it.

Everything went well to provide us with an exceptional experience. Staff were gracious, accommodating and professional; room was outstanding in all respects and breakfast was excellent.

This is NOT a reflection on the hotel! but our taxi from the train station left us on the street approximately a 20-minute walk through hot streets with luggage, claiming the hotel was inaccessible due to streets blocked. This was not true and I regret not obtaining the driver's license number as this should be reported. Another example of taking advantage of foreign tourists!

The location is phenomenal. Right in the center, close to transportation and on a quiet street so it was quiet and felt out of the way, even though it isn’t. The room was very comfortable, very spacious, and felt tranquil. We were there a week and it was a great refuge after busy days seeing Milan. The staff are warm and attentive. We loved it.

We liked everything! However it is worth noting that it is in a multi-use building and doesn’t have all the familiar attributes of a high-end hotel. Reception is upstairs, there is no parking, the services are limited. BUT we loved everything about it. Perhaps it feels like a cross between a high end hotel and a bed and breakfast.

The location cannot be beat if you're interested in the historical area. A 30-second walk, and you can look left and see the cathedral and look right and see the castle. Amazing. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was super helpful. Loved having our own rooftop terrace. The room was a little small, but we knew that when we booked, and it had everything we needed, anyway. Highly recommend this little gem of a hotel.

Housekeeping turned off our A/C and opened the shutters (letting the sunlight in) when they cleaned the room. It was in the mid-high 90s (F) during the day, and we left the A/C on the lowest setting and the shutters closed to keep the room cool without wasting energy while we were out. Our room was warm instead of cool when we returned mid-afternoon -- and we came back so we could cool off. This is literally my only critique of the hotel, though, and at a different time of year, it wouldn't be relevant.

Big, clean and quiet room Very friendly and competent staff

Basic breakfast was very good but doesn’t contain eggs, cheese and müsli/yoghurt (only available at extra cost). This is not acceptable for a 4* hotel!

Very nice breakfast, half buffet but with eggs cooked to order. The agent at check in told us of 4 near and good restaurants. In3 nights, we did 3 of his recommendations and they were spot on.

The lobby is in the second floor (1st floor in Eur stanard) and not obvious. There is an elevator, but it starts at half way up the first flight of stairs.

The location of this property was just perfect. Right in the old city of Milan with plenty to see and do nearby. We got upgraded to a suite which was so nice. Felt like living as a Milanese! The hotel has oodles of character and staff were very nice and helpful.

We booked this property on foot of the picture of an outdoor garden on Booking.com’s site. There is no communal garden or terrace. Upstairs rooms have private terraces. Very misleading! Would stay here again but would try for a room with a terrace next time.

The location was great to go shopping eating, site seeing. Compared to other cities/towns we visited though, it was far from train and airport's so plan accordingly. Breakfast was great and they did communicate with us several times about how to find them, arrival time so they would be there, etc.

Stairs to the reception area with luggage. Maybe there was an elevator but we didn't see it. There was a room above us and we could hear them walking. I would still stay here again though.

We booked our stay at Antica Locanda as a last minute trip to Milan and were delighted with our choice of hotel. The location was perfect, on a quiet street close to the Duomo and La Scala and a very nicely priced restaurant, Andry's, right across the street where we had an excellent lunch (just don't go between 1:00 and 2:00 when the lunch crowd is heaviest). The hotel is located on the first floor of an unmarked building; just look for all the greenery on the windows and the big green door! You may wonder where you're going until you get upstairs and enter the light filled reception area. The staff were exceptional in their friendliness, willingness to print off tickets, store luggage, and make dinner reservations. We were even upgraded to a beautiful suite that was spacious and refreshingly air-conditioned with a fridge and even crockery if we wanted to dine at the generous sized table. The bed was super comfy and the shower power perfect. Breakfast was an exceptional treat! The sweetest fresh-squeezed orange juice we've ever tasted and apple cake that was home baked. Overall, a wonderful find and if we ever get to Milan again, we will definitely stay longer!

We loved the comfy bed but there was only a thin coverlet (no top sheet) and we were rather cold. We wished there was a blanket.
