Hotel La Madonnina

Spacious with large windows and good shower. The location near the Duomo was very convenient.

As I always say cost / benefit is GREAT. The hotel is exceptionally located, just 100m away from Piazza del Duomo. It is walking distance from all main attractions and "must see" places of Milan. Also, in front of the hotel's door there is a Tram and bus stop for many lines to see other places a little away form the city center. Noise from the street could be hear from the rooms, but in my case it didn't bother or disturbed me to sleep at night. Rooms were clean, enough space to accommodate luggage and clothes but without a wardrobe. Very nice bathroom and good shower.

I booked this hotel just a couple of days before and just thought that "this will do" but I can say me and my partner were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The location was perfect! The personnel were so nice and helpful, the room was much bigger than anticipated with a beautiful view of the street. The trams were right outside on the street but we weren't disturbed by them, if you want a room in central Milan you have to be prepared for at least a little bit of noise.

Maybe the breakfast but I've learnt that a hotel breakfast isn't necessarily a continental breakfast, so I would say that while I found the breakfast a bit lacking I recognize that they have done the most with the limited space they have and we never started a day in the city hungry.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind, and always looked for our comfort and that of our little baby. Air con worked well and rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is on a normal block of flats where it occupies the first and part of the 2nd floor but there is a lift. It is right next to the duomo so the location couldn't be better.

The breakfast could have been a little bit more varied but this was a minor point. The staff made excellent cappuccinos and there were tasty croissants and bread.

The location was excellent few steps from the cathedral, metro station and restaurants. The breakfast was good and staff were nice. They care a lot about the security, front doors are locked after 8 pm but open upon arrival of guests. The decoration of the room is modern and very clean. The Rooms were cleaned everyday. The pressure of water in the shower was great.

They gave me a key and a card and asked to return key to reception every time i go out ...,but It was ok. The room is not on the street with a window that can not be opened and there was no light but it was quiet. The shower box is small, if you use the head shower the bathroom will be full of water. The AC was just good enough not so cold.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel's position, just a few minutes walk from the duomo and the metro, was perfect for us. We also loved the juliet type balconies in our room and whilst it was very noisy with the trams continually passing below, we felt that this added to the overall ambience rather than detracting from it.

There was nothing we didn't like. Our only comments would be that a shelf in the bathroom would be useful and the paintwork etc could do with touching up in places. Also, we were unable to find any TV in English. (Not that that was a particular problem).

There was no electric kettle in the room and I could hear the room next door open and close their door at night. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast and there was nothing available to take with us for breakfast. The hotel is in a building on the first floor (there is an elevator).

The location was amazing, literally about 1 minute walk away from everything!!!! the tram stops directly outside the hotel too. I wasn’t sure what to think when I was booking it, but wow I can’t fault the place. The staff were so friendly, the reception was open 24 hours if you needed anything. We were able to check in early and when we arrived we had complimentary water and coffee which was lovely. The hotel is very clean, as are the rooms. I can’t wait to come back, thank you so much for such a great stay!

Fantastic location to the Duomo, good sized room, quiet given location next to tram lines, with privacy and block out curtains. Nice linens.

Bed and pillows quite firm - not that comfortable. Minibar is an empty bar fridge. Reception staff on arrival not very friendly. Didn't explain about front door access. Website states has airport shuttle - does NOT have hotel pick-up, but taxi rank on next block

Very close to everything , clean and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

The lift was so small but we’re glad they have one and quite understandable as it is common in Italy.
