It was not fancy, but it was clean and upgraded. The hotel was quiet and not in a sketchy area. The check-in process was a bit lengthy, but she was new so it wasn't a big deal. She was very pleasant.

Would have preferred queen size beds. There were no hotels in the area that offered queen beds in our price range. The a/c didn't seem to work very well. I turned it down to 68 but was still hot and stuffy. Turning it down to 66 didn't seem to help. It was still very hot during the night.

The best accessible room I've ever stayed in. Bathroom features included a high/low handheld shower with excellent water pressure, tub seat, railings where needed, adjustable lighted magnifying mirror, and a mirror opposite the vanity mirror to see the back of my hair, additionally, there was a chair inside the bathroom. Someone was thinking! The room was very large which made maneuvering with my crutches much easier. The staff was very friendly, nice, and accommodating. Breakfast was enough to get you started in the morning. Hot sausage or bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruity, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, bagels, bread, muffins, and of course, make your own waffles. Everything was very clean and well organized, and the staff was very attentive. Every day, housekeeping asked if we wanted service (which nowadays if you don't ask you don't get), so that was nice to not have to ask the staff, they asked you and accomplished what you needed. The pool and adjoining hot tub were well-maintained and clean. Seating options were table and chairs or chaise lounges and pool towels were provided. An accessible chair was available if needed (another plus for thinking about accessibility). The exercise room has what you need. There is a coin-operated washer and dryer on the 2nd floor, accessible by elevator. The hotel location is right next to a grocery store (Food Lion), and pharmacy (CVS), and there is a path from the hotel parking lot to walk up to the shopping center. Eateries are within walking distance and there are plenty. Enjoyed my stay and the grandchildren Loved the pool, especially the waterfall feature, which we had to ourselves every time we went in. Great place to stay if you have to be in Danville, especially if you do not need to be near the center of town. I would love their pool set-up in my backyard!

These are not dislikes, only suggestions to improve the room I was in. The only thing missing inside the room was a table for the family to eat at when eating in the room. A small dinette-type table would be enough (instead of the desk). There would still be enough room in the accessible room. Also, maybe a shelf in the bathroom to place toiletries. The only other issue was the bathroom door sticks. I didn't report it, which I usually would because it was a minor inconvenience. Hopefully, housekeeping report it.

This location was easy to find. The manager, Andrew Jones was friendly and efficient. The breakfast lady worked her butt off keeping up with the influx of folks that occurred all at once. She was very friendly and went out of her way to make everyone satisfied.

The television reception was terrible (apparently due to Comcast issues…just like home!). It was very quiet until about 8:30 am when doors were heard slamming in the hallway. Housekeeping knocked on our door around 9 and we said we were not ready to leave yet. (I hadn’t noticed the very small placard that we could have put on the doorknob until after she knocked. I would think that the front desk would let housekeeping know when folks had checked out anyway.)

Very pleasant front desk staff who made a fresh pot of decaf coffee for me at 9:00 PM. Room was very clean and well appointed, free breakfast had lots of choices, not just a few muffins or bars. The breakfast staff was also very friendly. Very conveniently located to both the main road and also to nearby shops and some eating locations. Will plan on staying here again next time I travel this route.

The fitness area was clean but only had a small collection of weights, just to 20 lb dumbbells. An assortment in 10-lb increments up to 50 lbs would be appropriate and appreciated.

The location was wonderful, and even though it was near a busy highway, it was serene and comfortable. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. The breakfast was hot, delicious, and offered a variety of good food. The pool and hot tub were located in a courtyard filled with cool breezes and the delightful sounds of birds singing. The fresh baked cookies were always a delight. We will definitely stay here again.

A few of the things in the rooms are beginning to show wear and probably need to be replaced and/or updated soon.

The location was excellent within walking and driving distance to shopping and dining. The service from all the staff was well received. Overall great experience. Was referred by my neighbor that had similar experience. We definitely will be utilizing the service again in the near future as I will be traveling for work and would love to get discounts if available. Thank you Sleep Inn and Suites Danville for a job well done.

The TV remote did not work but the staff was very attentive to that and made sure we were accommodated.

I thought it would be within walking distance to the town. My fault - but it sounded like it was in the middle of Danville. My only reason for wanting to stay in the city was to see what the hype was about. If the property description were to say it was a 15-minute drive to town and that the only dining options within walking distance to the hotel were Chinese and Mexican holes in the wall, I would have adjusted my expectations. Frankly, it is the perfect place for you to build an attached restaurant.

We had a really great stay at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Danville, VA. We booked for 6 nights because my husband had training all week. I went with him and took work with me but planned to enjoy the pool in the afternoons because it was supposed to be beautiful and very warm all week. On Monday evening I found out that they were going to be closing the pool the next day but after explaining how I had planned to use it all week they delayed doing so. We even had friends who came over to visit and booked a room for a couple of days and we were able to use the pool and visit with them. All of the staff was very friendly and quickly met any needs that we had. The rooms were very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. We also really loved the breakfast bar that was well prepared and stocked. There is also a Mexican restaurant as well as a Chinese restaurant next door within walking distance. We only ate at the Mexican restaurant and it was great. There is a grocery store as well as a Family Dollar in the shopping center next door for any items you may need. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Danville.

It smelled clean and looked clean

I didn’t like that my room was right beside the elevator like I stepped out the elevator and my room was in my peripheral. The room being so close we heard everything coming on and off the elevator it was so loud we were woken up early like around 6 then we tried to go back to sleep and house cleaning came knocking on the door at 9 am and check-out was at 11am so that pissed me off like adults know how to set an alarm clock it felt like we were being rushed.

The bed/pillows were so much better than what I have found at other hotels. Staff was amazing and went above and below what was expected. One staff member, Andrew (front desk Wed 10/11 ~7AM) actually drove my colleague and myself in his car to an event because we couldn't find an Uber or Lyft. A BIG THANK YOU TO HIM!!

This is easy... larger coffee cups and water glasses - the ones in the rooms and available at breakfast. Those little baby size cups are way too small. Minimum size should be 14 to 16 oz. Another thing could be a list of possible transportation options for those without cars. Uber, Lyft, and cabs are so few and we had to ask for other options. We did get rides but it was just difficult to do.
