We stayed here while attending a wedding. This was such a clean and friendly hotel. The location was close to downtown, and there is the River Walk Trail direct behind the property. We enjoyed a 5 mile walk alongside the Dan River the morning before the wedding. The breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast staff were so friendly and welcoming. Actually, every staff person we met was so kind and helpful. Overall this was such a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Breakfast was very good. The ladies working in kitchen were EXCELLENT!! Very kind and helpful. Always available to help / answer questions. They added to enjoyment of stay. Manager was very helpful, gave us awesome restaurant suggestion for lunch. Front desk and housekeeper pleasant and helpful. I can’t forget the warm delicious cookies! Nice treat in the evening. Can’t say enough good things! 10+ on satisfaction scale. Highly recommend!!

Confusion at check in. Hotel could not find my reservation thru Booking.com. The couple checking in before us had the same issue. The staff member told us to call booking but then was able to override the sytstem and find our reservation.

Parking is tight, and the prices on weekends are extremely expensive, especially on Saturdays. Can stay 2-3 nights in same room, during the week, that you pay for one nightcon Saturday. I can see a little increase, but thar's greedy.

I came to visit family. The beds were so comfortable and the ladies that were in charge of breakfast were so helpful and polite.

The only thing that I didn't like was house keeping knocking on the door at 9 am when check out wasn't until 12 to ask if we were checking out. My children were still asleep

Great location with the Riverwalk trail right outside the back door! Very friendly staff! I have been roaming the Blue Ridge Mountains for 2 months and this was best hotel experience. Best breakfast provided by a hotel by far! I normally do not take the time to respond to reviews but thought I would share.

Not many restaurants in walking distance if I have to choose a con.
