Holiday Inn Express Knoxville-Strawberry Plains, an IHG Hotel

Everything! 1. The room is nice size, 2. The room was comfortable 3. The room was very clean! 4. The bed was super comfortable. 5. The pet fee for one cat for 35$ was acceptable.

1. The indoor pool wasn't open. The doors to get in didn't open, even so the nice receptionist tried to open them. 2. The coffee wasn't very good, and so wasn't the half warm breakfast. 3. That I have to call the hotel directly about the pet fee. The pet fee could show on the profile.

Smells amazing when you walk in! Super comfy bed/pillows. Love that it’s new vinyl flooring and not stale carpet!

Shower needs upkeep/maintenance. Also given misinformation when I called prior to booking about per fee. Was told it was a $35 one-time fee, NOT daily fee. Upon arrival was told it WAS daily. Thankfully the check-in lady made an exception for this leg of our stay.

The staff was friendly and always asked if everything was fine. was helpful when I needed something.

The stay was very good my only problem was I was charged for a stay that I canceled in advance. when I saw the pending charge I called immediately was reassured that I would not be charged. I still did get charged and it made my trip very stressful because it took away money I needed to get back home. I feel I should be reimbursed my money owed and compensated for the situation I was put in.

This was a convenient location to stop between Michigan and South Carolina. Making our reservation in advance through booking.com was easy and we were pleased that the front desk staff was very welcoming, the room was nicely decorated, clean and quiet.

no soap was provided in our bathroom so we needed to use the shower gel attached to the shower wall. though the room, lobby and elevators were very clean, the stairwell (which we used since we were second floor) needed attention as it was not clean. happy to have hot breakfast item choices but eggs were those things that dont really taste or seem like real eggs.

Overall a satisfying stay. lobby smelled nice. friendly staff. Allows dogs.fast efficient elevator.

The rooms need to have updated paint. the dark blue was cheap/dirty and run down looking. some carpets seemed worn. a bit smelly like old dirty carpet. breakfast did not offer waffle maker. that’s a huge letdown for our group.

Staff is great, didn't get a chance to experience the breakfast but I did pass by, it looked delicious. The room was comfortable.

I don't mind bugs but in this particular room I had a family of roommates. There were quite a few ladybugs in the ceiling. Again, I don't mind them but someone else might.

Friendly staff. Especially lady working night shift. she drove me to my rental car in the morning after she left work AND after I ate breakfast (she insisted). Hospitality was the best I have ever had while traveling anywhere.

room had a weird smell but could have been the cleaner used.

The location is in a good spot. There is plenty to do around the area and places to eat. The room itself is comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly.

When we arrived there wasn’t any staff upfront and it took a while for someone to come up and check us in and I never saw anyone upfront when we would pass to leave the room at any time or checkout time.

Location was perfect. Room was as expected. Breakfast was good except - see below. Fitness center and swimming pool were well maintained.

Found hair in a biscuit at breakfast. There was no cleaning supplies/towels to wipe down the fitness equipment after use. Bed wasn't as comfortable as I remember when visiting other Holiday Inn Express locations. Our room was beside housekeeping and every time we left the room, it smelled like cigarette smoke coming from that space making the entire hallway smell like smoke.

The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Our room was on the main level next to the breakfast area and we could hear them getting everything out and ready for breakfast. Not a deal breaker, but was a little annoying.
