We needed a place to stay as we drove back home after visiting Colorado. We stopped in Cameron since it was almost halfway home for our trip. We weren’t too sure about staying at a Red Roof Inn, the ones near our home are pretty sketchy, but this tied with best overall reviews on all sites I checked for hotels in this town. We got a secret deal on Booking so we tried it. We had one of the best stays here During our vacation and glad we tried it. Room was exactly like website pictures, clean and comfortable beds. We were on the top floor in a corner room so it was quiet all night. The bed was very comfy too. They did serve breakfast, standard hotel breakfast but better than some places we stayed. Biscuits/gravy, pancakes, cereal, hard boiled eggs and the usual toast and yogurt selections. The only complaint we had is the air conditioner was Very loud when it ran and did t kick on much through the night so was hot in the middle of the night.

Loud air conditioner that did t run steady. Warning- no elevator so if you can’t do 2 or 3 floors request 1st floor.

This was the first time we ever stayed at a 'Red Roof'. "Free Breakfast" can be interpreted in a lot of ways. We've been to motels ( even in bigger cities ) where it consisted of nothing more than a small cup of coffee and a mini-muffin. This property offered more choices, including an automated pancake-maker - a novelty for us and a few other travelers in the breakfast room. On the outside, the building is very plain (but clean), yet the inside is clean, updated and rather modern compared to other hotels in this price range. Laminate floors in the rooms instead of carpeting, soft, plush carpeting in the hallways. Proprietors were nice and friendly. I had changed one of the rooms directly with the hotel instead of booking.com, which resulted in a slight issue with payment (entirely my mistake); it was taken care off without a problem. Should we ever have a need to stay in Cameron again, this will be our first choice.

very clean, friendly knowledgeable staff who assisted me at registration in digging up my Booking.com reservation that had been assigned to my Booking.com account using the alias name assigned to my gmail account causing confusion. The experience of the hotel management was valuable in resolving the confusion caused by this programming deficiency of the Booking.com platform. Our room was very very clean, comfortable and a great value. The restaurant recommended to us by the manager was very nearby and a good place to dine. Overall, we were well pleased with this property and will be using it in our future travels in this area.

Friendly staff, very clean room, hardwood floors (cleaner than carpet)

We unplugged the refrigerator because it vibrated and was too loud. I could even hear the refrigerator in the next room. It was probably on the wall near the head of our bed. Unplugging ours helped. Otherwise, we liked how clean the entire room was. We thought the negative comments on Bookings.com did not apply to our stay at all!

I stayed here twice, two months apart, when driving both to and from my destination. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I had my cat with me and it's great that there's no additional pet fee. I loved that the floors weren't carpeted and that the bed frames went all the way to the floor (at one place my cat kept running out of reach under the beds in the morning when it was time to go). I requested a first floor room both times so that it was easier to carry in my cat in his carrier and his litter box, and the staff accommodated that request each time. Breakfast in the mornings had a wide selection (oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, pastries, biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, etc.), and the area was kept clean. Highly recommend!

This hotel is very clean and nicely updated. The pool furniture was very nice. Every staff member I met was very kind and helpful!

The air conditioner wouldn’t run continuously and it seems the walls were very thin as I could hear everything. I did turn on white noise which helped, but still woke up every time the air kicked off. The pool was very exposed. A different location might have felt more comfortable, but it didn’t affect my trip much.

This is a great motel! I love the outdoor pool & easy access to & from the parking lot. Very comfortable & large room. Quiet, I barely heard any outside noise. Very clean.

The staff weren't always available at the desk. Had to wait a few minutes for them. Would have like an elevator or first floor room. I forgot to request. Need clearer directions to open pool gate. Outside stairs & ramp need replaced.

It was in a great location! Walking distance to stores and fast food. Driving to Missouri Star Quilt company was quick from this location. Front desk, housekeeping and anyone we encountered was very friendly, asked if we needed anything, and to be honest it was nice that they all would hold regular conversation with us! Not many hotel people will do that, you complete the check in and out and have no contact with them. These were great people!

Room has been updated. Bed and pillows clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was very clean and organized. The attendant kept it restocked and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I couldn’t get my key to work and the manager graciously offered to come to the room and show me. Seems after a long day on the Harley I was at the wrong room. She smiled and wished me a pleasant evening.

The WiFi had a small time that it was very weak. But later in the evening it worked fine. The walls are thin. We are guessing we had a young family above us that had little ones running around and bouncing balls. We didn’t say anything to the management because the kids weren’t doing anything wrong. If that doesn’t bother you it is a great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

It was quiet and clean. Excellent customer service, friendly staff.

The only area I could see for improvement would be the shower heads. The stream from the shower head is wide which makes it difficult for washing your hair.
