LaQuinta is a chain hotel; my business was not in downtown Kansas City but in Wellington and Oak Grove but I also wanted to be close enough to to get to Kansas City. I-70 has hotels at every exit along the highway. The hotel met my needs perfectly for being able to go both East and West on I-70. The staff was incredible - they were able to answer every question, the breakfast was ample and had variety, the room was spotless. The refrigerator had a small freezer compartment which I used. It was very safe for someone traveling alone.

No complaints at all!!! I stayed 4 nights and was perfectly comfortable coming and going from this location and this hotel. I would return. You do not get Wyndham points when booking through Booking.Com

1st light bulb in my room was broken. How does a housekeeper or Head Housekeeper miss a dead lightbulb? It is literally the 1st wall switch in the room. Wrong light bulb in the floor lamp. It's a 3-way lamp and requires a 3-way bulb. There's a light switch on the exterior wall that seemingly does nothing. I mention the lighting situation because it is the 1st thing I check in a room. The HVAC worked fine. The plumbing worked fine. The bed was VERY comfortable. Change the plastic shower curtain. Apparently it was stored wet and the printing stuck and transferred. While on the subject, my wife seriously questioned the placement of an orange shower curtain in a lavender bathroom. The lunch bag "breakfast" is a joke. Not even a bottle of water

The staff was really nice and catering to our needs. The room was clean and well maintained.

The bed might have been the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept in. Also the ice machine right outside our door was a hang out spot for teens at 11p.m. and i had to tell them to please turn the music off because i have a 3 year old sleeping and it's 11 p.m. they were very sorry and did immediately stop. I think having a room in the back were a maintenance room usually is, by the ice machine was poor design.

Breakfast was great, considering the limitations of Covid-19. It included a sausage, egg & cheese biscuit to heat in the microwave in the room. Bagged and ready to go!

There was only one chair to sit and relax. This was in a king room, for 2 people, and there was plenty of space for a small couch or another chair. When we asked, reception brought us a second office chair. She did the best she could, but a king room with only one chair is lacking something.

Easy to find location with plenty of parking. Breakfast was simple, limited in selection but of a good quality. Coffee was excellent and available anytime. It had a fitness room with a great weight machine. The elliptical was a bit worse for wear. And the TV was disconnected...but I was there for a quick workout, not entertainment.

Not much not to like. Be aware that the noise from the interstate was a constant presence, but that was part of a convenient to find and access location immediately off if I-70. It actually acted like a background sleep sound for me and my wife. Breakfast variety was limited, but in fairness, I eat low-carb, so that was the bigger limiter. The eggs and sausage that I could choose were both good quality and cooked well.

The beds were very comfortable. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and clean our room was and will now include La Quinta on our good list.

It’s a hot breakfast but the scrambled eggs had a weird texture. The only option for yogurt was artificially sweetened, which I dislike. The biscuits and gravy were actually pretty good. The three dry cereals all had sugar. I can’t complain about of lack of food diversity because it’s a bargain motel and that’s what you expect.

Hotel like brand new. Employees very helpful and kind (in special Ken from the desk and Liz from the breakfast). Breakfast tasty and with good options. They had an advertisement in the elevator stating that they wanted to know about anything that would prevent the gests from giving them a 10. And as I witnessed they take it for real. We had an awesome stay there for a good price. Totally recomended, thank you so much!

Nothing, really. We stayed in the 3rd floor and it was very quiet also.

there is a pool in front of the of the hotel and apparently there are no closing hours and the loud noise from the pool party carries right through the windows.

Nice modern feel. Liked the color scheme, was a good change from the typical soulless beige tones. Easy to get to, pet friendly, nice parking lot for moving truck with car carrier (this has actually been more of an issue than I had expected in some areas). Staff was very friendly. Moving across country I have had a wide range of "room quality" and this was the best I had stayed at. It was the cleanest, great water pressure for showers, skipped breakfast so I can't comment on that.

My only complaint which is pretty minor is that depending on room location, the morning traffic and interior hallways can be a bit loud for light sleepers (latter obviously depends on the guests and is not the hotels fault at all).

There Was a confusion on reservation,I had to book a room 2 different times and I forgot about using married name both times so I had 1 madden and 1 married name used and Nick sorted it all out and made it so I didn't have to pay any more than I already paid.

I didn't like having to go to a different hotel ( I'm a Traveling Nurse) and give up their breakfasts
