First, receptionist Acondria was extremely slow and she doesn't look so happy at all. She was with a plane face all the time, and she took years to complete each task. It was desperating at some point. If she's completely new would be understandable, if not, she is not the type of person a guest would like to see first when you arrive to a hotel. Trust me.

My husband, dog and I enjoyed the comfort of this hotel. I enjoyed the deluxe king bed, so comfortable the the room size was perfect for the three of us. I also enjoyed the fitness center!
Some of the staff either didn’t have access rights or were new, thus some help we needed wasn’t able to be taken care of right away as we waited for either a manager or someone with higher access. And our questions were a bit basic. The neighborhood was very industrial, lots of pollution and you certainly need a car to visit other places.

The gentleman that worked at the front desk was very unprofessional and rude. I am inclined not to stay there again for that reason. Your company needs to offer training to this Individual in customer service or he needs to be placed in an area where he doesn't have direct contact with tourists and visitors.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really thought they went the extra mile to make guests feel at home. The room was spacious and well-cared for which made up for the hotel seeming a bit dated. The shuttle drivers were especially kind, helpful and friendly. Really made me feel good riding with them.
Staff seemed to be required to wear masks. Really sad to see them have to hide their smiling faces behind a piece of cloth. I could tell that they were doing their best to make up for it, but it still made the hotel feel more like a hospital than a place to relax. Unfortunately, that requirement means I won't be staying in Sonesta hotels in the future. I'll find some place where staff are allowed to show their smiling faces to guests.

My room had a beautiful view of the Miami skyline. Parking was very convenient. Meals and drinks were excellent. Hotel location was very close to everything. Didn't feel crowded during my stay there. AC kept my room cool despite the hot humid weather.
Room service could have been better. No one came to clean my room while I was gone. I had to call the desk to send someone. Toilet had a faulty valve, the tank would not fill after being flushed. Gym had too few machines, mostly just treadmills.

Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and professional in all respects. Did not have the opportunity to eat at hotel, but restaurant was closed for lunch. Very well run airport shuttle departing every 20 minutes. Everything was very clean in our room and the bed was most comfortable.
Like most hotels in big cities, the facilities could use some current investment albeit the staff is making the most of what they have. Everybody was doing their best to uphold established standards.

The only complaint I have is I was charged $23 a day for parking. The website says $19 a night. There was no type of gate or garage you scan your key to let you in to park on the property, you just drive into the parking lot and park. (There was a booth but noone was never there) When I asked for a hang tag or something to put in my window so I didn't get towed I told by security and the person at the front desk I didn't need anything to put in the window. They assured me I was ok and would not be towed. Yes my car was fine all 3 nights I stayed at the hotel. So I feel like parking was free and my $69 was pocketed. Other than that Sonesta is a very clean, nice, and comfortable hotel to stay at.

Maybe they could have a smoking spot in the pool area. I know it's a non smoking property, but since it's outdoors and there's plenty of space... 😏 Other than that no complaints.

Good location close to the airport plus a free shuttle bus which runs every 20 minutes and is very convenient. Lovely gym, nice pool area. Super friendly staff.
For $22, the breakfast wasn't great; no English Breakfast / black tea available, only mint tea and green tea.
