The attention to detail. There is everything you need in the room and more. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, very clean, spacious. Both a shower and a bath in our bathroom. A real sense of a luxury in downtown Pleasanton. We had a drink at the bar in the evening and the service was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful and a bit different from the usual offerings, which was very welcome!

Room was beautiful with so much attention to detail. Gorgeous bathroom. Loved the decor. Beds and pillows so comfortable. Continental breakfast was great and laid out so beautifully with nice touches like little rose detailed spoons for stirring coffee and hollandaise sauce for boiled eggs and ham. General Manager was so nice talking with us. Turn down service with mints and more. Music softly playing for ambiance. Fruit and treats at floor elevators. And on and on and on.
Truly, that we arrived later than check-in and didn’t take advantage of every minute of booking. The front desk person who checked us in was very grumpy and curt which was odd as the General manager and front desk staff the next day were extraordinarily pleasant and friendly and a delight.

The beds are so comfortable and they have a wide range of room types from large lavish suites to regular rooms with little special touches such as chocolates with bed turn down, candle for the jacuzzi bath, and a spiral notebook with pen on the desk. However, the hotel is beginning to look its age. Worn bedspread, grout missing on tile, and rugs that have had multiple cleanings. But it remains a very beautiful hotel with lots of amenities in a great location.
That the garbage company came at 4:45 am to empty the large box garbage bins and the ACE train runs by blowing their horn beginning at 6:20 am and every hour after until after 8 am so sleeping in on that amazingly comfortable bed wasn’t possible

WOW - What an exceptional experience at the Rose. The room was SPECTACULAR. The attention to deal was everywhere. The covered parking, commentary fruit and snacks everywhere, great Euro style breakfast and friendly attentive staff.

The Rose Hotel is a gorgeous property in an ideal location on Pleasanton's Main Street. Every detail is looked after with care, and the rooms are spotless. You feel like you are staying at your wealthy grandmother's updated home!

Get rid of those bedspreads. The rooms would be more aesthetically pleasing and germ free with simple, neutral, washable bed covers.

We stayed after my daughters wedding. I got a room for the bride and groom a room and a room for my boyfriend and I. It was such a beautiful place and great to relax in the tub after the wedding!

This is a very classy, elegant hotel in the middle of downtown Pleasanton. It does have the feel of an old hotel with all the modern touches you could expect from a high end location. The breakfast was nice.

The breakfast was amazing. I eat a very healthy diet, and had so many choices.
The room was a tad warm... and the a/c couldn't be lowered.
