Dinah’s Garden Hotel is a great place to stay in Palo Alto. The grounds are beautiful & well maintained, with mature trees, beautiful flowers and koi ponds filled with koi and ducks. The pool was beautiful and well heated. We swam in the afternoon and morning the following day. Our room was very comfortable and large, overlooking nature Redwood trees and the dog park in the corner. The hotel restaurant by the pool was really good and we enjoyed lunch and drinks there one day. They do serve breakfast, however “Hobees” is walk distance away. We loved how dog friendly the hotel and restaurant was. Next time we will bring our well behaved dog.

The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. The level of cleanliness was unlike any hotel I have ever seen. I was so struck by how clean it was! Just for kicks, I decided to see if the baseboards in the toilet/shower area were clean or dusty (an easy spot to miss). I wiped an area with a tissue and it was spotless! I still would have been impressed by the cleanliness but now I’m just amazed. Also, room service was fast! We had a drink by the pool and I left my purse and it was promptly returned to me before I remembered that I had left it.

Seriously, nothing. The only thing I want them to know is the chairs make a loud noise when moved on the tiled area in the rooms. My neighbor last night wasn’t doing anything wrong but I could hear them moving the chair in and out from my room late at night. It is VERY loud. Some felt pads on the legs would solve that

The hotel is a little gem. Gracious, lovely and full of exciting and interesting antiquities and antiques as well as asian, african and historical art and artifacts. We loved the poolside dining, the pool, the lobby, the bridge and stream with coy fish and ducks. It was great as a get away, relaxing and lovely. Also great for the grandkids who enjoyed the delish kids menus and the pool as well as feeding the ducks, fish and going on bug safaris through the gardens. Wonderful place. Hidden treasure in Palo Alto awaits.

Liked everything.

This hotel is very lovely and has a lot of personality. The gardens are beautiful, you see ducks and hummingbirds regularly, and it’s very peaceful. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The pool area is cute and the restaurant around the pool is nice. The room itself is big and comfortable. The bed is very comfy. Would definitely stay there again next time I need to go around Palo Alto.

The only problem of this hotel is that the sound isolation is not very good. I could clearly hear my neighbors and feel the vibrations as people were walking around.

The property was beautiful with the trails around the water features and gazebo. The hotel staff was friendly and inviting. The room was a great size with a mini fridge and a comfortable bed. Everything felt super clean, and I respect that. Our room was in building 300, and our balcony faced the pool, which was pretty with the evening lights.

We ate breakfast at the poolside restaurant on the property, which is beautiful. The prices were a little high, but it was convenient. The service and staff were great, however, the food was not good. The water tasted heavily chlorinated. The iced tea tasted old and off, possibly due to the chlorinated water. The eggs did not taste right, even scrambled, and the hashbrowns were crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside. For the four of us to eat with coffee and tea, it was $88 plus a tip. Would not eat there again, and hopefully, they can make some adjustments.

The suite we were in #821 was huge! kitchen with microwave, fridge, stove top, dishes, flatware, cups, frying pans, etc. walk in closet next to bathroom had a wall ironing board, nice big shower with steam, two double sliders. very quiet building. elevator from under ground parking (only for building #800 guests.) Really felt like an apartment! I was having treatment at Stanford so it was a nice comfortable place to return to. We love Dinah’s Garden!

slider curtain on left had a stain on it. Needs dry cleaned. Looked like someone spilled coffee on it. :( Never cleaned?

Close enough drive to Stanford Children's Hospital. We were there for my child's appointments. Extremely clean and well maintained. 2 ladies at desk were very kind and helpful. We got a wristband so my child could swim and they helped answer our questions. Beautiful grounds with koi ponds, fountains and gardens. Comfy beds. Quiet rooms.

Room service menu would be awesome if more variety that's lighter fare . Also need to update flyers handed out by front desk upon check in as they state incorrect room service times.

My husband and I loved our stay at Dinah’s Garden Hotel. Our room was spacious & clean with a great view of the lagoon. I loved hearing the sound of babbling water. The overall layout and decor is amazing with collectibles from all over Asia and the garden is beautiful. We felt like we had found a tropical island. The staff was courteous and helpful and the poolside restaurant was very good. We plan to stay at Dinah’s next time we are in the area.

Nothing.

The room itself was a total surprise to me I'd never stayed at DINAH'S before so I didn't know what to think I saw photos online and the hotel looks exactly like that, the room is super spacious and I love that, given the holiday the restaurant was closed but we were near food restaurants so no big deal. We mentioned among ourselves that the room gave an "out of town' feel it did not feel like we were in the Bay Area at all! Very good stay, we really enjoyed the quietness and serenity of this hotel, cleanliness was up to par as well. Our room had a steam room in it which was a plus for us! Its sooo good, and it was great that we didn't have to go outside our room to get a good steam, it was very relaxing. I plan on booking again just to have a get away.

There was nothing I experienced that was negative. This hotel is great
