Just two miles north of downtown lies the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta. Best Hotels for Baseball Fans – Close to Truist Park
Since 2017, baseball’s Atlanta Braves have played their home games at Truist Park, located in the northwest suburban community of Cumberland in Cobb County, ten miles from downtown Atlanta. The opening of the 41,108-seat ballpark in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of I-75 and I-285 spurred tremendous growth nearby, including The Battery Atlanta mixed-use development that opened in the spring of the same year. The area is a major Atlanta destination for visitors and locals, sporting offices, residences, extensive shopping opportunities, and a slew of restaurants for a pre- or post-game meal or beverage.
Additionally, there are several hotel properties within walking distance of Truist Park and The Battery, as well as several that are a short drive away. Some hotels make your stay easier by offering free shuttle bus transportation.
Note that the hotels listed below tend to be more moderately priced national hotel chains, making a trip to a baseball game much more affordable than staying at a property in Midtown, Buckhead, or downtown Atlanta.
