Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel

The location was the most impressive part of this hotel. Food, tourist locations, shopping, boardwalk, all within walking distance, I mean within 5 minutes. We knew that staying in Old San Juan could be pricey. In most cases, I would opt for the short term rentals like Airbnb, but we had older family members with us that would need the convenience of an elevator. We also wanted a pool. The Sheraton had good service and employees were nice and helpful. The reduced rate for parking next door was a plus too. Some places provide free parking outside of Old San Juan, but it won't be a norm for Old San Juan. We didn't do their breakfast, as we planned on doing local cuisine. Its included for 2 people per room, buy 20 per person outside of that. The pool was decent, the rooms were clean, and everything else was good. We had 3 rooms, they placed us all together, and on the pool level (9th floor), as requested. Gym was next to the pool too, also a plus!

Not much I didn't like. Only the price, but I think you're paying for location. The rooms were doubles and honestly looked like any other double rooms you'd find anywhere else, they all pretty much look the same, nothing spectacular there!

Excellent location! Room was clean, bed incredibly comfortable, well maintained older building. Convenient walking distance to beautiful sites in Old San Juan. Walgreens on first floor, restaurant in hotel and others were just steps away. Beautiful ocean view from restaurant patio. Excellent customer service by every employee. They couldn't do enough for us.

No fridge in room. Kind of expensive.

Location is excellent. It is super convenient if your ship is docking at the terminal that is directly across the street. The staff were amazing - friendly and super helpful.

My parents room had a musty smell and both of our rooms were hard to control temperature-wise. My room was freezing, and there was no way to turn the heat on. No matter how high we set the temperature, the room wouldn't get any warmer. Also, the scrambled eggs on the breakfast bar were the worst that we've ever had. If you get the buffet, order an omelet instead and ask them to use real eggs.

The place is great, the staff too. Included breakfast very convenient.

I will only recommend to put some blinds or curtains in the rooms since it gets pretty clear by 5 am and there is no blinds to cover the windows. Thank you

Facilities are clean and very nice. The staff is especially helpful due to covid restrictions. Location is always great!

The hot tub was not working. Also the pool area should have been monitored more closely due to guests being drunk and breaking 1.75 ltr rum bottle, cursing, and passing out in front of other guest and their families.🤬

The location was wonderful! There was great "walkability" as I spent my mornings walking the waterside and my evenings trekking through the blue stone streets. The king room was spacious as well as included a spacious bathroom with lots of counter space.

My room was adequate but in need of updating as there were limited ports for charging my multiple devices. The setup for fridge and microwave needs to be more like built-in and more modern. The picture quality on the tv was not as top-notch as I have come to expect from Marriott properties, but I spent more of my time soaking up the local sights and culture so the tv was not a high priority. I wish I had been informed that my room only had a view of an interior courtyard with NO view of the water or any other landmarks.

Beautiful, beautiful location and safe. So much to see and do. It's the perfect place for restaurants, bars, shopping, Hooker bars and much more. Puerto Rico, what a beautiful Island to visit. The Hotel was also, beautiful overlooking all the cruise ships and the beach.

The Hotel Breakfast was a little pricey and not the best. Other restaurants by as well.

The location was excellent in Old San Juan within walking distance of all the sights and tourist attractions also close to bars and restaurants

The corridor we were in was very noisy in the early hours of the morning which sounded like guests returning to the hotel after a night out. The rooftop pool was nice but could have been done with done maintenance pool light hanging out

Location was perfect for my granddaughter and me! A great value. In retrospect, I would have been willing to pay more for an ocean view. The entrance- slightly away from the main road- was also great. No pressure to "hurry up", pay the driver - and get out of traffic. Easy, gracious check-in and check-out. Pedro, the bellman, was very, very helpful and upbeat! Our room, on the third floor, was spacious and we appreciated the floor length mirror, the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. However, every 45minutes or so throughout our stay, there was an unpleasant noise (either internal or external) lasting a couple of minutes that may have been construction!

We had ongoing trouble with the card key! One of our two keys would never open the door to our room - and the other was unpredictable at best. Re: amenities - Based on other places I've stayed, I thought the bathroom could use some updating, especially the shower. I would also appreciate information about the structure itself. I believe it was built in 1939 and that the original elements were art deco. Do I understand correctly that the current carpeting is intended to reflect that?

During the stay at the Sheraton, check-in was easy and front desk agent was very accommodating. My room was on upper floor with a bay area view, which was awesome view of the cruise ships and the ocean. The room, bathroom, and bed were clean. I had buffet breakfast a few times during the stay. The food was tasty, and I enjoyed the omelet station. I really enjoyed how close the hotel was to Old San Juan, making it walking distance to all the restaurants, attractions such as San Jan National Historic Site, and the Walgreens downstairs was super convenient.

Since my room was near the pool, the bathroom had a bit of a chlorine smell. I used air freshener to keep the smell at a minimum. Also the food at the buffet was tasty, just wish there was a larger variety of food.
