La Terraza de San Juan

Loved the location. Right in the heart of old san juan. Beautiful roof top over looking the city and walkable to anywhere in town.

The shower was cold no matter how long you left it running.

Absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel in a prime location plus the street is not that busy! The main king size bed was incredibly comfortable (sofa bed only suitable for kids). We were accidentally put in a larger room at check-in and after everything was figured out we were allowed to stay in the upgraded room free of charge! The rooftop and plunge pool were awesome (great views!) but I was disappointed neither bar was open as stated. There was a beer/wine vending machine though that accepts Apple Pay!

Knock knock "What are you doing in this room??" was how the conversation started which was off-putting but, again, we didn't have to move from the upgraded room so it worked out in the end. Mini-fridge said not to adjust the temperature so we didn't and everything was frozen - like we couldn't eat the food and the sodas had to sit out so they even became slushy. It is a full glass shower and visible to the entire room which is a bit awkward depending on who you are staying with.

I used to live in Old San Juan and love the location, right in the heart of this old city. I personally enjoy staying in a historic building, although modern hotels may have all the bells & whistles, they often lack personality and a sense of the place. As far as what I didn’t like, I don’t really sweat the small stuff; the A/C or the TV may need to be adjusted, but the bilingual front desk staff is unfailingly kind and helpful, and the inconvenience is soon resolved. Bottom line: I feel very much at home at La Terraza and would gladly stay again.

I loved La Terrazza - beautiful, historic, clean, comfy beds, location, etc. Rooftop deck with ample seating. Bar on 1st floor. Helpful staff. Very neat, old building

the kitchen appliances in apt were a bit run down. Dishwasher was out of order. There was no TV remote to be found -Rooftop bar was not open - but I liked that, actually...😁 BYOB

The location was perfect for exploring old San Juan. The room was perfectly air conditioned and the beds were very comfortable. People at the front desk were very friendly.

Overall the room was nice, though there were no outlets near the head of the bed which would have been nice for charging phones. The refrigerator kept our water cold, but almost too cold, freezing our beverages at times. Our room was on the first floor, which was convenient, but also near the elevator and front so definitely could hear people coming and going. Though it was nice that after 10pm it had to be quiet.

Location was great, 3 blocks from the bar district and 3 blocks from the umbrella street. Many shopping stores close by.the food and drinks were very affordable. So glad we stayed in old San Juan. Authentic food and great people. Uber is very recommended to get back and forth to San Juan and airport. The bar in the hotel is freaking great. Nilia was our bartender man she will get you right. Lorimer was very very nice (front desk) Allys (front desk) had all the go to spot to help us out.(nightlife) again please consider uber. We paid $20-25 to go back and forth to San Juan each way, airport was the same.for 2 of our days until I downloaded uber and paid $5.99🤔🥴😯 we was so pissed we wasted all that money using a taxi. Uber saved us on our 3rd and fourth day😍

another of walking ( the hills will take you out)😂 -The room had little ants in the bathroom. -Not a big breakfast selection -pool was little. Water was gloomy, but view and photo background worthy

Stayed in the 2-bedroom suite and highly recommend it. The unit is massive and the photos online must be outdated because the unit was much better than expected. Could easily sleep 6, two bedrooms and a big pull out sofa bed in the living room. Full kitchen was also a great aspect. Location was close to all the nearby attractions, bars, and restaurants. Easy check in, but couldn’t check in early since someone was staying the night before. Went up to the rooftop briefly to check it out, and the bar wasn’t open, but they had a vending machine full of drinks. Great view as well, nobody else was up there when I went. Glad I booked for our group of 5 and would stay again.

Almost everything! we loved the quaint, charming Old San Juan feel. The bathroom was modern, clean and worked well. The bed was comfortable and plenty of room. An afternoon dip in the rooftop pool was a plus!

The only thing was that we were unable to control the temperature in the room ourselves. if you call the front desk, someone will come up and adjust it, but who is going to do that in the middle of the night? Also, it would have been nice to have a chair in the room.

Charming small hotel with lots of local character. Decor was quaint with a few picture worthy spots for the teenagers. Our suite was large and clean. It was not a luxury hotel, but it was exactly what we were looking for. We felt immersed in the neighborhood.

The mini refrigerator in our room did not work. There were repairs outside of our room, but maintenance crew was very polite and courteous as we shuffled past in the hallway. Rooftop could use a little TLC.

This is a gorgeous hotel. I loved the decor and the roof top terrace. The bathroom was spacious and nice, the cafe downstairs very pretty.

However, I didn't find comfortable that the A/C in the room couldn't be controlled. It s a hassle to have to call reception everytime you want to change the settings. Also the hotel could provide at least a welcome bottle of water. In the room, a chair would be a good addition. It can get very noisy at night and during morning time.
