Hotel Mare

Great location a block from the beach near lots of restaurants. Very friendly snd helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Free parking was included but 500 meters away. Breakfast was decent 10 Euros.

For a nice hotel like this to have such a bad sewer smell in bathroom is unexpected. It was so strong that we had to keep bathroom door closed at all times. I would recommend the hotel install a P trap on sink and bathtub. I would recommend guests keep plug in sink and bathtub at all times. This is our only complaint about this otherwise really nice hotel.

Location is incredible, 50m from the beach and all the restaurants and bars. Breakfast on the top floor with 360 degrees view of Nazare is great. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. The manager who welcomed us from our car even picked up my daughter who was crying and consoled her. Great people! Rooms looked brand new and were squeaky clean.

Nothing, I would recommend Hotel Mare to anybody visiting Nazare.

The location was perfect, just off the Main Street so a bit quieter but still a central location. The staff was incredibly helpful in finding restaurants and helping with train reservations. The room was spotless clean and we had a beautiful view of sunset from our balcony. We got a triple room even though there is just two of us which gave us a more spacious comfortable room. Highly recommend. Delicious breakfast with a great view was a wonderful way to start each day.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room, and the hotel overall, was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of different selections of food/drinks. The location of the hotel was excellent.

The parking! The parking option was a long way up a very steep hill which made it very difficult for me to access. I would have preferred the hotel to have made this clear prior to booking as I may have chosen to book elsewhere.

This hotel is located a very short walk from the waterfront. Our balcony looked out onto a beautiful pedestrian walkway and we had a partial sea view. Our view was much nicer than that of the rooms facing the opposite way. Once closed, the balcony doors are excellent at blocking out exterior noise. The staff at the hotel are all very pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast is great and you enjoy a panoramic view of Nazare as you eat. As many other guests have noted in their reviews, the parking is a 600m uphill walk. No problem for me and it is made clear on booking that this is the case. It's a busy little town so I was happy to not to have to worry about finding street parking. With parking and breakfast included, you really can't beat the value offered by Hotel Mare.

Nice, clean hotel in a great location by the ocean. Lots of restaurants around.

We had a bit of bad luck that it was New Year's Eve (29 December is not New Year's Eve) and at night there was very loud music playing outside and the hotel walls were shaking. It was impossible to sleep. This is not the hotel's fault. Although for me it is strange to make so much noise at night from 2 to 6am and no one asked to turn the music down, not even the police were called.

The hotel is located in the center, there are many restaurants around, very close to the funicular and to the beach. Good breakfast

The hotel does not have parking, although when you book a room, the booking indicates that it seems to be there. The walk to the parking lot is very far and hard uphill. The room is very simple, you will not find anything extra in it. Due to the location it is very noisy, people make noise in the restaurants downstairs until late at nigh

Very classy feeling hotel, nice interior, good service in english. The room was great, it was on 4th floor and had a balcony with nice view on the mountain. We could see the see too! Location was great with peace and still everything at hand. Cleaning every day.

There were no sockets by the beds for iphones.

Beautiful hotel. The best front desk people every time. Best location to beach. Great views of Nazare and the ocean. Had an issue arise, and the staff handled it perfectly and went the extra mile. The breakfast is up on the top floor with fantastic views all around. It was also tasty and generous. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would go back for sure!

The hotel was in a good position and central for restaurants. We were very impressed with the breakfast room situated on the top floor which permitted views over the town.

Our only problem was due to our parking in a disabled slot which we paid for but had not realised the figures on the sign meant that that particular slot belonged to a specific person who gave us a severe talking to. My sight is very poor and we had not come upon this situation before.
