Hotel Mar Bravo

Location was perfect and we could park our hire car in a secure underground car park nearby for free. Also a very nice breakfast was included in our stay

Location was perfect. Right beside the beach. They offer free beach towels, umbrellas and chairs if you’re having a beach day. Breakfast were delicious. Buffet style breakfast with everything you need! Towels in the rooms are hefty size and great to touch. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Please pick the room with the balcony as that was a great choice! Restaurant downstairs served one of the best steak’s I’ve had in a while. We went there three time out of the four days we stayed. I could go on and on about how great this place is has to be in my top 3 stays

The hotel is lovely, bright, and clean and you cannot beat the location!!! The front desk staff could not be more friendly and accommodating (2 young females with long straight brown hair). The hotel offers extra special touches with the guest comfort in mind: free parking, snacks available all day in the lobby, coffee and tea in the rooms, filtered water delivered to the rooms daily, and guest access to beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas upon request. I felt very cared for at this hotel. Further, I read some of the reviews about the noise from the center and streets below but personally found the windows to be pretty soundproof.

I may have missed a message on what to do with my car upon arrival to check in. I was aware that the car park was offsite and a bit of a walk away but I didn’t know where to go to check in. As a result, I parked illegally, was in the way of other traffic, and was repeatedly honked at. A message in advance of my arrival with instructions on where to put my car for check in would have alleviated some of my anxiety because the streets are tiny one-way and packed with cars and people.

We had a fantastic view of the beach and the lighthouse from our room. This hotel is a great location, right on the waterfront. The restaurant was very good. We ate there for lunch one day the shrimp risotto was delicious and had many large shrimp in it. We were able to go down to the bar and get a glass of wine or a glass of port and take it up to our room. We had a rental car and this hotel does offer parking, however it is at a different hotel. They gave us the address to put in our GPS so that we could find it. It wasn't too far to walk back to the hotel from the parking garage. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The one drawback was that we were given a room on the first floor right over the outdoor restaurant. The weather was nice enough to open the windows, however it was extremely noisy due to being on floor 1, and close enough to the sidewalk that we could smell cigarette smoke in our room at times. Luckily, there was a sitting room area on our floor so we would occasionally go hang out there where it was quieter. The sitting area has a fantastic 180 degree view of the beach and bay.

The hotel is a great location next to the beach with views from the front and side. The room had everything we needed and was a reasonable size. The breakfast was excellent and we ate in the seafood restaurant on both evenings we were there.

It was difficult to park, even to drop off the cases, as the one hotel parking space was occupied. We had to leave the car outside near a pedestrian crossing and rush out as a bus couldn't get round. The spaces on level minus 2 at the Hotel Praia were difficult to reach with steep ramps and pillars, then the lights went out as we were parking. It was then a good walk to the hotel and a nuisance if you forgot something in the car.

This hotel is perfectly located and made it very easy for us to walk to all the places we wanted to visit during our stay in Nazare. We had a room that looked toward the big cliff and the funicular rail, as well as a side-view of the ocean and it was great. We were there off-season, so perhaps at another time of year there might be a little noise from the many restaurants below, but the insulated window and door were high quality ,so it might not be a big issue. The staff were helpful and the rooms were quite nice and very reasonably priced. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

Room 301 overlooking the beach it was lovely especially as the Easter festivities were being held on the beach 👍Room facilities excellent, tea coffee machine in room, beautiful cake and pastries to help yourself to in reception. Only downfall was the walk to the car park about 10 minutes away..not that much of an issue. Staff were very helpful in bringing out luggage once we had collected the car...and of course we dropped off luggage before parking. We ate in the restaurant garlic prawns were fab as was the fish main course. Thoroughly enjoyable stay 👍👍👍

The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The view of the beach was amazing as was hearing the waves day and night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Small snacks, coffee and water was available in the lobby all day. our little balcony was nice place to sit and watch the waves and people walk by.

Our room was teeny, tiny and had bad lighting in the minuscule bathroom. An extra towel hook in the bath would help. Traffic and people talking could get quite loud. An awning for the West facing Balconies would help with sun and rain.

The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of breakfast items that you could find something for everyone. We had the romantic package and had wine and chocolates delivered to our room. Staff were exceptionally friendly and loved on our son. They even gave us a new bottle of wine and replaced all our linen when our toddler spilled red wine all over our bed. The location is right across the beach and near a lot of restaurants. The hotel itself has a great restaurant where you can enjoy plenty of fresh fish.

The location is incredible. Turn left out the door and you’re 50ft to the beach. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant with 10% off for hotel guests. Nazaré is an incredible little town with lots to offer including a funicular railway up to the old town. Plenty of restaurants with every option if you don’t eat in the hotel restaurant

A tiny thing but the shower screen wasn’t long enough so the bathroom floor got wet
