Lovely views, walks and just a pleasure be around. The staff were out of this world. Reception was lovely and the bar staff amazing.

The fact that the castle was closed due to private function on one of the days which then dictates what you do if you want to go to the restaurant or bar or just chill in the grounds. The private function then has a knock on as you can’t book the golf club the night before the party which again was inconvenient to paying customers staying on the island. Two days of our stay was in fact disrupted because of this. The golf bar should at least be open later to accommodate residents if there is a party or function going on.

We stayed in the houses on the island which were ideal for us. We woke up the following morning to 2 baskets of food for breakfast which we did not expect at all, so this was a great surprise. Island was so peaceful at night there was a wedding on at the time and none of us woke once during the night, we will be returning ! Highly recommended, staff also helped me out big time as we had to rearrange dates a few times and there was never a issue.

There was a deposit to be paid for keys on arrival which I think is unnecessary and we didn't know this until arrival . Location is a little far out from the city itself but we still managed to get taxis to and from the lodges

We absolutely loved our stay with Waterford Castle - the lodges were amazing, the facilities on the island were fantastic for our family stay - the golf course, driving range, playground, tennis courts, fairy trail and location kept the whole family happy and entertained.

The club house was undergoing refurbishment during our stay and closed for food at 6pm which meant we didn't manage a club house dinner while we were there - but the garden pods were brilliant and we enjoyed a lovely family lunch while we stayed. Looking forward to returning again - the work planned on the club house looked amazing.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Waterford Castle Hotel Lodges. The staff were immensely friendly and helpful at the Waterford Castle Hotel when we checked in. The lodge accommodation is extremely spacious and has all the amenities you need for a very enjoyable stay, including spacious rooms, hair dryers, oven, fridge, indoor and outdoor seating areas and a microwave and toaster. We arrived with minimal supplies as we booked it quite late and there was instant coffee and milk in the fridge when we arrived. We grabbed takeaways from the clubhouse, which were great. The setting is absolutely beautiful with deer, birds, badgers, foxes and other wildlife including a wallaby. It was also quite thrilling having to use the ferry to get to the lodge.

Beautiful location with amazing wildlife, including deer and white wallaby. The accommodation was stunning it felt like we were staying in a hotel . Close to Waterford city for shopping and restaurants .

Could maybe do with a few more activities for older kids. Also a few more eating options on the island and a coffee shop would be brilliant .

Lodge was fab, very spacious.

Lodges were lovely, clean and warm. Well stocked - very comfy beds and pillows.

Great place to stay. If I had any criticism it was missing dustpan in kitchen, grill rack kept falling off although maintenance staff called over within 5 mins to fix it but didn’t work. The bathrooms could do I with shelving for storing toiletries.

Having to access the island by a vehicular ferry even though it was only a quick 5 minute trip. Due to the hours of the ferries operation, there were some time restraints around leaving and accessing the island.

Great location. Very peaceful, and seeing the deers first thing in the morning is amazing. We were a family of 4 adults and an infant that stayed for two nights. The facilities were fantastic.

The wifi was quite poor. Many of us couldn't maintain a connection. The non en-suite shower has a really strange and difficult to use nosel. I had to use a towel to get a grip to switch it on and off.

It is beautiful property. Wish we could have spent more time there.

We arrived a little late and hadn’t had dinner. We asked the receptionist if we could get some food and her response was a flat out “no”. So I walked to the restaurant and asked a waitress if she could get us some food and without hesitation she took my order and had it delivered to our room. It just left me with bad feeling to be lied to by the receptionist.
