Hôtel Le Pré Galoffre

Very comfortable beds with wonderful pillows and soft sheets. Charming decor and beautiful grounds with large areas for walking our dogs. The hotel is pet-friendly, with a charge of 15€ per dog. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The apartment layout is odd, with the kitchenette upstairs, along with the twin beds. The master bedroom is downstairs with a small sitting room, an oddly large closet and bathroom. There is another wardrobe in the actual bedroom as well. The layout is not really a problem for a quick overnight, but I could see it being frustrating for longer stays.

The only real complaint is that the bathroom facilities are built for people a bit taller than my 5’3” / 160cm frame. My feet couldn’t reach the floor from the toilet, and washing my face in the sink was a very messy affair. 😄

Breakfast was very good. Hotel in a good situation with staff very helpful with advice.

The only thing I think they could do better at is the advertising of their evening meal. The food was excellent but we thought they underplayed it. We would have gone out for dinner first night but took a chance on the restaurant because we were tired. We could not eat there the other two nights which we would have done but the restaurant was closed due to the local holiday. I think they undersell this side of the business.

We stayed 2 nights and found the hotel of high quality with excellent service. It was perfectly located for our needs as we were day-tripping to local sites and could avoid being in downtown Nimes. The real bonus was the excellent on site restaurant for guests only, which provided a different single-option menu every night cooked to perfection. It truly made our stay complete.

A very nice hotel, driving distance from Nîmes and many tourist attractions and hikes. Small cozy rooms in a lovely looking Hotel, with a convenient private parking (shaded by trees which would be a boon during summer). The room has air conditioning, and is very quiet. The staff was very courteous and welcoming.

The desk lacked a power socket that made it difficult to plug in a laptop or recharge a phone (very minor annoyance, had to unplug a light to power a laptop). WiFi was nearly unusable (good signal, but poor performance; ended up using 4G).

I emailed questions prior to arrival. They were answered quickly and were very helpful. In English! I loved every minute of our stay, the room was small, but heavenly.

Directions! Our phones and Navi did not recognize the address. We had a lot of trouble finding the place in the dark. And it was difficult to decide which hotel to pick because they are next to each other and have similar names.

Lovely setting. Very enjoyable breakfast - quality produce. Able to have relaxing bath with lovely hot water. A very homely, country house feel to this hotel with lovely staff.

It is outside Nîmes so there is an added expense of bus or taxi. The bus stop is very near and reception will order a taxi- €20 approx to Nîmes. The bathroom needs a little updating.

This place is beautiful. It is a lovely old, old farm that has been beautifully restored. It’s just a short drive from Nîmes but is out in the quiet countryside underneath huge trees. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate dinner there the first night and it was the best meal we had in France.

We stayed for one night. The place is beautiful and it has a parking. It is a bit far from Nimes, so you will need to take your car or call a taxi. The room had a small terrace in the back which is nice to have a glass of wine or read a book. They are dog friendly which is important as we were traveling with a dog. Bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet

The property was amazing in a very quiet place outside of the city center. The staff was very kind, helpful and helped to find a lovely and delicious restaurant in town (Le carré d’art restaurant) I would highly recommend this place for anyone who’s looking for a little holiday or an escape for a weekend :)
