- The room was a good size and nicely decorated - Good Wi-Fi - Clean bathroom, with a decent shower - Comfy bed - Plug sockets and lights by each side of the bed - Small desk provided - Nice view into the street - Not too far of a walk from the train station

- I booked last minute on the day and when I arrived, I was asked to pay by chip and pin. What I didn’t know, was that they had already put a hold on my credit card via this site. Usually, if they’ve put a hold on money, they then request via this method prior or upon arrival. Instead, by asking me to pay on arrival, I was effected charged twice for a number of days until the hold was released. This is important for people to know, especially if you’re travelling in a budget like me; having double the amount not available on my card was an issue. It also took the hotel quite a while to respond to my message about it. It’s a shame, as everything else was great.

The location of the hotel is very good (Near Lyon train station and near bus station for the airport bus - Rhonexpress). It also isn't far away from the city center.

The room is too small, for instance the sink was so small that you couldn't use it without splashing around. There was only one pair of towels , even though there were two of us in the room. Also, the communication with the hotel was difficult before our arrival, since they took more than 24 hours to answer to the message sent via Booking.

Less than 10 minutes walk to Part Dieu train station & metro. There’s a huge shopping centre opposite the station too. Took metro to old town- arrived in less than 20 minutes. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom was exceptionally clean. There was an issue with the shower door and they fixed it promptly. Some English speaking channels available on the TV. Staff were friendly and polite. Cheap in price for hotels around Lyon.

The room is small. If you have large cases, it is impossible to keep the cases open and be able to walk around the beds. The water flow of the shower was slow. No hairdryer or kettle/ drink making facilities in room. They did tell me in advance about the €150 damage deposit which I paid in cash, this was promptly returned on check out, no issues. This is the first time I have been asked to do this and I am a seasoned traveller. Not many people walking on the street to the hotel at night, might be best not to wander around the area alone at night.

Quite cheap, 24h reception, location. Perfect for short stay. Easy check-in. Wi-fi and air conditioning worked. Clean room.

Room was quite small and beds took most of the space, it was difficult to move even alone in the room, I kept hitting my foot to the beds all the time. I could hear everything from the next room through the internal door connecting the next room. I managed to make some noise (mostly cursing when hitting myself to the beds) and neighbours understood if they can hear me, I hear them.

Close to Part-Dieu station and good value for money. Comfy bed and clean room. Staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed us to check-in early. Stored our heavy suitcases in their secure luggage room after checking out which was very helpful as we had a late flight.

Rooms are very small so there was no room to open our large suitcase. Our room was on the the station side of the hotel this time and there was no air conditioning so it was quite noisy on a warm evening when we had to keep the window open.

Almost everything from its location, closeness to public transport, the train station and some few good restaurants. The stuff was also really friendly and tried very hard to accommodate the language barrier. Also loved the room, It was adequate for one night stay

I paid for late check out but one of the cleaning stuff came into my room before I had checked out. I would have thought they knew which rooms to clean at certain times

The second night my key card didn’t work and I stressed out the parking didn’t open as well as the room and there were so many people by the reception for in checking and I had to wait after all the problem solved The second problem was the broken bed and the isolation it was noisy I could hear the room next

We needed a hotel close to Gare de la Part-Dieu to catch a TGV in the morning. This hotel is a short, easy walk from the train station. We had connecting rooms which was nice for a family stay.

The vending machine in the lobby served warm drinks. I can't be sure if it was recently reloaded or the refrigeration was broken. But warm drinks were disappointing.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The garage was really good, the location is ok. The center is just a couple of minutes walk. Facilites were ok, the hotel is really clean.

The breakfast is not really good, there is poor choise, no meat, just some limited baguettes, cereals etc.. The lady in the breakfast room can't speak English and does not even try to do that, she was very uncooperative when serving our breakfast.

Hermann and Charlotte are earnest couple. They were helpful during my stay: introducing scenes, helping actives of swiss pass and giving me some medicine tea and so on. The breakfasts are good too. I stayed there 11 days and enjoyed very much. I recommend de la Paix to the people who will visit Interlaken.

Non
