Appart City Lyon Part Dieu Villette

Very spacious room and bathroom. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed and pillows, with a spare pillow available (3 in total in my room). Being an apart hotel, the room had a stove, dishes and cutlery set for a longer stay. I was in for only one night, but would easily recommend it for longer business trips, if you're on the budget and want to prepare your own food. 5 minutes walking distance from Gare de Lyon Part-Dieu, which means great connection to the rest of the city with public transport and direct Rhonexpress line to the airport (goes every 15 minutes, travels for 30 minutes, and approx. 5 times cheaper than a taxi). There is a decent grocery store just around the corner.

The fridge in the room is a bit noisy. Room door was squeaking. Basic communication with staff in English is possible, but the staff is not proficient in English. If you speak French that's not an issue. That's not a big issue (since the staff is friendly) and is certainly not an isolated case in France, so I wouldn't consider it as a serious downside.

Overall it was a nice accommodation. The room is pretty basic, but was clean. It’s located near the main train station, so it’s perfect if you’re coming with bussines (the business area is very close) but if you’re planning to visit the city, especially the city center, i don’t really recommend it. It’s pretty far, and you depend on the public transport. Breakfast was good, not very diverse. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, we used it a lot (except 1 or 2 days, when there was a strike). The internet worked really good.

Great location near Lyon Part-Dieu station and for heading out to the stadium for a Rugby WC match. I liked the mezzanine level room, quite spacious. We were on the top floor and had a balcony also. The living area small especially when using the sofa bed, but with a little creativity, the limited space was manageable. Staff very welcoming and great with holding our luggage too.

It could do with a little refresh but it met our needs for our short stay. There was an issue with the shower head attachment and not much could be done at the time we discovered the problem, but staff appreciated us letting them know and were onto maintenance to fix it first thing.

The room was very spacious en clean, with the added advantage of a real kitchen with a fridge, two hotplates, pans and other utensils. Plus all the cups and plates you need for a short stay. I liked the little desk where I could do some typing. Everything is quite simple, no luxury of plush, but I rather have a simple kitchen than no kitchen. And the bed was very good. I also very much likes the ladies at the reception who were super friendly and helpfull. With real smiles.

The neighborhood is a bit boring, but then the walk to the other side of Part Dieu Train station was nog very long. The form want me to talk more about this but I'll be damned if I'm going to invent negative commentary because the form wants more words.

Apart from the fan, everything was very clean. The room is well-equipped. I stayed there at the end of October, so the fan was more than enough. It's close to the train station. Compared to nearby accommodations, it's very good value for money. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is modern.

The only thing is that the fan was a bit dusty. I had to pay 10 euros for the dog, which is not too bad compared to other hotels, but sometimes I paid much less or nothing at all. Apart from that, everything was great.

The staff was very helpful though English was not always their strong side. But despite that, they were trying their best 🙏🏻 Location is amazing to get faster to the airport and Groupama stadium for the event. Also the walkable distance to the old part of town.

- Even though it was mentioned in the description still it was a bit difficult to handle to stay in the room without air conditioning. Rooms are getting very hot during the day. - Also the cleaning wasn't great: when entered the room I found long black hair on the bed, towels.

The place was inpecable clean and nice, everything you need in a little cute and organized room. Only 5 - 7 min walk from the main train station which it is very convenient if you arrive close to dark. Bus stop right in front of the Hotel. Safe and friendly staff always willing to help.

The pillows and beds were too hard and uncomfortable. If you like to sleep in hard beds than there is no problem. I do, but for me were even a little too much. The supermarkets are far about 10-15 min walk. Restaurants about 7 min walk.

Convenient location with a short walk to main Lyon Par Dieu station and tram interchange. Quiet area with a few local supermarkets and shops. Limited eateries. Room was clean and functional and staff were helpful.

I liked the room and convenience but the area is very much a dormitory suburb in apartment blocks ... but only a long walk or a tram away from Lyon central so even that wasn't too bad.

10 mins walk to the train station. Clean and spacious for the room and toilet. There are two ventilators in the room to get ride of summer heat.

It was stated very clear there is no air con in the room. However, the air circulation was not so good with window open plus two ventilators working during the night when the outside was very cool in the late evening. It may work with windows fully open but I felt it was not a good idea in the midnight for both safety and privacy reasons.

Convenient location. Excellent breakfast. Simple yet sufficient accommodations.

We were aware the rooms were not air conditioned. It was quite hot the day we arrived, and our room was in the loft of the top floor, so it did not cool down until midnight. Thankfully, circulating fans were in the room.
