Hotel Chateau Laurier Québec

clean and comfortable room; slept very well; great location to start the day with a refreshing walk across the plain to a pavillion that offer a splendid view of the St laurent then on to the board walk that took us into old Quebec where we enjoyed exceptional pastry in a small authentic French café. Great musical performances in the street and don't miss a visit of Notre Dame. It all takes your heart and soul right back to Europe!

The front desk staff was always polite and courteous but should have known that breakfast service was available on the premises starting 7 am.

This is a great hotel, friendly staff, large room, great bath/shower, good facilities, good location just outside the city wall. All the important things were perfect.

I've rated this 5* because overall it is. However, during the week we were there the internet was down most of the time. Didn't matter too much as we could hot-spot off my cell phone, but if you use it as a business hotel then it's a risk. Also housekeeping was quite unreliable, not appearing on 3 of the 7 days despite several requests. Not a major problem, as we are quite capable of making our own beds etc, but annoying when you run out of tea/coffee each day, and particularly when the toilet roll is all used!

It was our second stay in this hotel in Quebec. The location is really perfect. We like the swimming pool and sauna. We choose for on of the more modern bedrooms, with the see-through shower.

The modern bedrooms features a smaller bed than usual. The coffee offer is now Nespresso instead of VanHouten, it is a matter of taste of course but we found it a pity. Note there is no lounge bar or breakfast offer in the hotel, besides the St Hubert brasserie.

Room was nice and comfortoble. Hotel location was perfect for going to the places we had planned to go.

After our initial was not what we had requested we were upgraded to a much nicer room (with a shower) which is what I had requested.

The breakfast was very expensive and not much better than what I would get for free in most hotels in the US. Luckily there were some good restaurants nearby. Also there was a great deal of confusion regarding laundry service. It eventually got resolved but had to be mailed to us since it didn't arrive before we left.

nice hotel in downtown, has parking - rare in downtown. good service but all extras are not included (parking, breakfast) which makes it expensive for the value. the location is amazing right in front of the parliament building and on a pedestrian street with tons of amazing restaurants and clubbing post midnight. the hotel is very calm though, can’t hear outside noise.

overall everything was good, except that the maid opened the door at 10 am to clean without knocking when I was still in bed.

We were able to have our rooms next to each other which was great. Great location, nice restaurants nearby.

We had no idea that the FEQ 10 day concert was going on. I don't think it would have mattered which room we were given, we could hear the music. Luckily, it ended around midnight every night. It was hard to get to the front of the hotel because of the blockades for the FEQ Concert.

Château Laurier was an exception hotel to stay in with a young family. The view out our window overlooked the Assemblée Nationale and the old city. The pool was nice relaxing break! The room fit our family nicely and it had all the amenities that we needed!

I was disappointed that the Sauna was out of order. Also the hot tub/ spa was tricky to find and when I found it I was locked out of the pool, where I left my key. It really should be more explicit!

Location is extremely convenient, close to the Old Québec, close to everything outside of the old city. Accessible and easy to get to despite the Carnaval that was in full swing when we arrived. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were OK.

Not much really... The only "issue" we had was the music at the Carnaval on day one of our stay, but that as nothing to do with the hotel at all.

Staff was amazing. Our valet parked car was hit by another guest. Although having to deal with this and cutting off our time in Lower Old Time, staff and the man who hit our car were all great. The location was great.

the air conditioning unit was too noisy when coming on and shutting off so we didn't use it. I let the staff know.
