Wingate by Wyndham Calgary South

This hotel had one of the best continental breakfasts we've ever had. Great waffle batter, eggs, bacon, and the usual cold fair. First time ever that I've seen 1/2 grapefruits offered. The bed was comfortable and the pillows soft. We asked for a quiet room and that's what we got.

We were guests on a Monday and the restaurant close to the hotel was not open, which wasn't the end of the world as we had a car, but we ended up having a lousy meal at another place. This property is a bit pricier than other hotels in the area, however it was much larger room than those offered elsewhere.

Very quiet and clean hotel. The kitchen was equipped with all utensils. The kitchen utensils I brought were useless. I spent three nights here. For dinner, I grilled steak in the kitchen and bought wine. All markets are 5 minutes away from the surrounding area. 1 hour and 30 minutes by car to Banff. The quality exceeds expectations. Especially the breakfast is fantastic. I recommend this place..

Breakfast was ok. Location was convenient - 3 minutes from Fish Creek Arena where I was watching a grandchild play in a hockey tournament. (They fit Silver).

The sofas bed mattress was uncomfortable for an adult. The bed itself was not made properly by the maid service, nor was it closed for us each day. I’m The maid who serviced the room took garbage from the bathroom but not from the main room of the suite.

Very clean, nice large rooms, very friendly staff, good security at entrance, the breakfast provided good with a lot of options. Loved the pillows! I wanted to buy the one in my room, but the front desk wouldn’t sell it to me. ☹️

Free parking, but not enough spaces because of restaurant right behind the property, but parking they had was very close to front door.

The location was great. It was very convenient to a lot of restaurants and easy to find. The room was really large with a very comfortable bed, incredibly clean with space to work at a desk or watch tv separate from the bed.. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were traveling with dogs and they gave us a room in the first floor adjacent to a side exit.

Everything was great, it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Hotel was very clean, breakfast was good. Overall would stay there again.

Bathtubs are too high for older people to get in and out of even having to shower was a chore but have since found out you have special rooms but step in showers As it was our first night there we didn't know that but will know for future bookings.

We found the staff very friendly. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Nice, quiet location, close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Kids loved the pool and water slides too!

It was hard to find a table to eat at during breakfast hours as it was quite busy.

Breakfast was decent. Room size was very good. Staff were always pleasant and engaging.

Noise! Primarily the heating unit was way too loud. Mini-fridge was a bit noisy as well. Hallways and our room were a bit cold. The sign on the street was way too small.

Location was convenient for where we were visiting, easy to get to by car with lots of parking available. Nice comfy bed, small fridge and microwave oven as well as coffee maker.

Little noisy, could hear footsteps from room above - maybe very heavy footed? Could use a little better maintenance, outer door to lobby was non functional with temps below -30c (maybe the cause of the problem?) and 1 of 2 elevators was not working.

Very clean, amazing staff and environment.

Floors appear to be lacking in sound dampers. People above us were very loud heel walkers and sounds like power walking laps around their room. Jacuzzi was clearly labeled out of order would've been nice to be informed at check in, pool room was very cold.
