Super 8 by Wyndham Macleod Trail Calgary

Breakfast was included, parking was free and just outside our room. It had a pool, Jacuzzi and work-out room (Wouldn't call it a gym though it was satisfactory equipped. The hotel had many restaurants nearby and wasn't too far from the city centre.

For breakfast there wasn't a big variety, also if you turned up after 8-8.30 there would be nowhere to sit in the breakfast room as there weren't enough tables and chairs available for hotel guests, so you had to wait or take breakfast to your room. Room was comfy, big enough and well equipped but the rest of the installations could do with an update.

Price, convenience, comfort, cleanliness and my own coffee in my room.

I didn't get breakfast as the lady that runs it decided to close early. It was Xmas morning I was there. The ticket I got for the buffet said closes at 9:30 a.m. and when I went by the buffet room at 11:00 p.m. the night before, the sign on the door said over at 9:30. But, she apparently decided to close early and wouldn't let me eat. She said, "well there's a sign on the door that says closing early at 9:15". I said that doesn't help people when you stick it on the door first thing in the morning does it? My buffet ticket also said over at 9:30. Staff needs to talk to each other and sign re closing early Dec. 25 should have been up earlier than the morning of.

The rooms were clean and tidy and the mattresses were comfortable. We liked the swimming pool and the hot tub. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady who served us breakfast :)

The breakfast itself can be better, you can add at least scrambled eggs to the menu. And the menu was the same for all 6 nights of our stay.

It looks simple and cozy, you might think it is a roadside motel. But when you get to reception you get a warm welcome, the rooms are extremely clean and they have an indoor pool. Overall the staff is super friendly, everyone is ready to help. One thing I would mention - there is no elevator to higher floors.

Breakfast lacks veggies, tea, and fruit options are very limited. AppleTV in the room will be perfect, so everyone can stream their own stuff.

the room we had was pretty and clean, they had everything we need + extras and they’re not that strict. we had one noise complaint (sorry about that lol we were playing something) but as soon as they called us we immediately went quiet hehe the girl that called us was really nice and at first, we’re kinda hesitating if we want to stay here because of the bad reviews and everything but we tried anyways and it didn’t disappoint us! The pool was nice, my friends played some music in the pool while we swim and have fun and the staffs are all good.

I just didn’t like this one guy who assisted us when we got here I don’t think he’s friendly lol.

Location is very good, there is a big mall close by, breakfast is good, lots of choices, we end up staying in a suite for a few dollars more , my family enjoyed it ,we had our own kitchen, one bedroom, living room, bathroom is new and modern, we were happy with the 3 nights that we stayed in the suite, everything is very clean, I would like to book the same suite if I have the opportunity to go back to calgary

Upon arrival at check in I asked if our room was on ground floor , it wasn’t but the delightful young lady found us a lovely room with no fuss whatsoever.we also encountered a small luggage problem and I politely asked if they would mind disposing of our battered and broken suitcase which they more than kindly agreed to. Also the breakfast had a good range of hot and cold items the most we had encountered in our 2 week stay in usa and Canada .😊

I was pleasantly surprised - the room was spotless and I loved that they had no carpet but rather laminate. So much less gross than carpet. The breakfast room was really clean and nice and surprisingly, traffic on MacLeod quieted down after midnight. So we actually slept pretty well and the beds were comfy.

Only downside was that light seeped around the edges of the blinds because there were no drapes - the outside light stayed on so it was not entirely dark in the room.

Clean room, comfortable bed, refrigerator worked well. Clean bathroom, good towels. Free breakfast Friendly staff. Free parking available.

I wish there were pillows suited for smaller persons, there should be a variety of thick and thin pillows. Please add cream cheese option for your breakfast bagels! Parking area very dangerous to navigate in winter, someone should be salting far more as it was sheer ice and nasty to walk on. Don't risk customers getting hurt - contract ice removal

loved the hot tub and the proximity to shopping. The rooms were clean and the staff were very nice. The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft.

Breakfast was ok. I've had worse at hotels and I've had better. The only thing I would change about the hotel was the man giving swimming lessons in the pool while guests are trying to use the facilities. It made it near impossible to do laps with him teaching kids in the pool.
