I have previously stayed at the property when I attended a work conference and was also able to visit my niece who had just had her first baby and had made my booking at that time based on it's location and proximity to where she lived. I found the property was well appointed and was in a great location. 16 months later I had to go to the PA Hospital for Gamma Knife treatment from Cairns and unbeknown to me at the time, found that the hospital is located on minutes away from the Oaks. I was really pleased and relieved to be able to return to the property for my 10 night stay this trip with my daughter and sister as my support team as I was familiar with the property and the comfort and facilities that were available. The two bedroom apartments have enough room to adequately house their guests (my sister and I required our own bedrooms). I also ordered a trundle bed for my daughter which had a spring mattress (not just a foam mattress) and she found it to be very comfortable and there was plenty of room for it in the lounge room. The roof top pool area with the uninterrupted views of the city skyline are beautiful. The location is great as it is close to the city, shops, public transport and the PA Hospital. The double insulated windows adequately keep out traffic noise from trains and motor vehicles also. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful at all times.
With portable steam cleaning equipment so readily available these days, I would have liked to have seen the upholstered furniture and carpet square in the lounge area in a cleaner and unmarked state.

Staff was extra helpful and always so polite whenever we needed anything. I was making a 5 tier wedding cake from our room and the first room we were in had a small fridge so I had asked reception if we could move to the room we were in laat year for a cake and they had arranged it so smoothly within the first 15 minutes of us being there.
Parking costs. I think the apartment is already so pricey so parking could've been free or next to nothing atleast. We considered parking at other parking buildings because they were more cheaper but wasn't bothered to walk back and forth lol

Roof top area is perfect for larger groups to catch up and has a wonderful view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unit was clean and well equipped. The sun room was great, being able to close the doors really reduced the road noise. We had a great time and would be back.
Would have liked a better hairdryer and for tea bags and dishwashing liquid/power to have been provided for the 3 days we stayed from the outset without having to ask reception. Reception was happy to top up, I just think it is odd to provide 1 sachet of dishwashing powder for a 3 night stay. The construction works blocking the walking path to South Bank caused us 2 large detours, but this is not the hotel's fault. Again unavoidable but the spas were not functioning during our stay which was disappointing.

2 bed unit was excellent.plenty of room full kitchen and large bathrooms with step in shower. Room clean and well maintained , comfortable bed and nice towels. welcoming staff bent over backwards to problem solve any concerns you may have and nothing was too much trouble..well.done. 10min walk to stones corner shops and restaurants, 15 min drive to greenslopes hospital and 10mins to PA.
right on highway and parking fee as no alternative. room well sound proofed so noise was not an issue (level 4)also need some large coffee mugs!

It was spacious and the location was excellent
There were night works on the road adjacent to our windows which we didn't know was happening and did disturb us. I know that this isn't the fault of the Oaks but a heads up would have been appreciated. Drain in shower was very slow to clear water and bathroom would have water everywhere this was reported when we left. We would still go back to these rooms again because of the location.

Property is right in the middle of a busy, high-traffic area with a highway, busway and railway line in close proximity, none of which bothered us at all because of excellent soundproofing and the ability to seal off our spacious, furnished sun terrace. The apartment was ideally roomy and contained ample hanging & storage space for our clothing as well as a very useful study. We loved making use of both the lap pool and the hot spas up on the roof & the secure parking was well worth paying for in an area where safe, long-term parking is not plentiful. It was also great that we could easily catch trains to Southbank and the city centre from nearby Buranda Station. Our bed was large and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with various appliances, crockery, glassware and utensils. Friendly staff patiently helped us (seniors) become familiar with correct use of our coded room cards. Ample dining venues lie within easy walking distance at Buranda Shopping Centre & just down the road.

The apartment was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. There was onsite parking which we needed for our hire car. It was a great base to explore a small part of The Gold Coast and The Sunshine Coast with the motorway very close by.
I would prefer parking to be free rather than a daily charge. If we had been using the train station nearby, it would have been difficult with all the roadworks going on, but that will be better in time.

On the upside it is a short walk to transport and shops. I stayed for about ten nights, the staff at the desk, cleaners and the maintenance guy were absolutely superb - like all of them surprisingly good. Kudos to management - you have something special going on with this team.
The location is not the best - behind a main railway line and a freeway, construction all over the place.

The apartment was clean and tidy. The outlook was pleasant. The kitchen was well laid out and had everything you need. The bathroom was clean and a good size.
The bedroom was a different configuration to the ones I have stayed in in the past and would have been an issue for an older, less mobile couple (given how close the bed was to the wall). Additionally, as one of the bedrooms was locked (we only booked a 1 BR), there were no full-length mirrors in the apartment, which was disappointing and should be added to both rooms.

Apartment Wasn’t clean. Crockery and cutlery was poor quality with limited cooking tools. e.g. no microwave bowls, one large saucepan with no lid, useless peeler etc. We stayed for a week. Our room was not serviced at all on two days and bed linen not changed. Balcony floor was filthy when we arrived and remained so for the duration. Vacuum cleaner didn’t work properly. No instructions for oven. stove, washer, dryer etc. (Receptionist had to leave the front desk to come to the room to explain stove use). Bathroom very small and pokey but had a large adjoining walk in robe. Poor design!
