The rooftop bar on the Saturday night was closed for a private event. The rooftop swimming pool is closed in the mornings and only opens at 12 noon.

Brilliant hotel in the heart of Madrid. Location is hard to beat. Transport very close. Service excellent. Rooms a great size for such a central location. Beds very comfy. We had the room with terrace and spa - perfect. Pool was good to cool off. Breakfast very good - loved the tortilla each morning. Plenty of fruit, yoghurts and meats. Vermouth bar and rooftop bar are both awesome. Gym is a great size too. Hotel - Highly recommended.

Pool is tiny and that rooftop area is way too hot to sit for a while in summer.

I liked the atmosphere of the hotel and where it is situated, access to everything and everywhere . The staff very courteous, but the two ladies at the front desk, Azahara and Ursula, made my stay enjoyable.

I didn't like the fact that there were no coffee maker in my room. I was jet lagged, and next morning it was hard to get up dress up and go get coffee. Room service the night when I arrived was closed , meanwhile it was still room service hours. A little consideration for travelers and guests. Not a deal breaker tho..

As soon as you walk in the foyer is absolutely beautiful as well as the bar. Staff were immediately very welcoming, we were given glasses of cold water and bags immediately assisted with. The room is very nice- great value for money. And rooms were cleaned excellently each day. Pool although it’s small is beautiful, great for after a day of walking around in the heat. Rooftop bar is also beautiful and has amazing views. Location is brilliant- right on the Gran Via and walking distance to most attractions, we didn’t get the Metro or a taxi even once. Would absolutely stay here again :)

A pretty and classy hotel in the middle of the city center, great location to visit the main sights and attractions of Madrid, friendly staff. The pool on the rooftop was much appreciated during the recent heat waves.

We were charged 70€ extra per night for our four year old kid. We had anyways booked a larger (and therefore pricier) room for which allowed for three adults (according to the description of the hotel) but nevertheless needed to pay extra. This seemed quite unreasonable to us, the rate didn’t include breakfast or anything else which we had not paid for already, so for the mere existence of a 4year old, 70€ per night is quite a lot..

The service was excellent from all the staff - really superb - wanted to ensure we were looked after and had the best time. Great central location . Fantastic roof top bar and lovely roof top pool to cool down in after a busy hot day sightseeing.

My only suggestions for improvement would be to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was a kettle but nothing else and thicker black out curtains as our room was on the Main Street.

This hotel was 10/10 from the moment we arrived. The reception staff of Laura and Anthony were fantastic, and really made us feel welcome and at ease. The rooms were extremely clean and had everything you needed. They were cleaned daily and the bedding was extremely comfortable. I could jot recommend this hotel highly enough. The location of the hotel is fantastic and walking distance to all tourist attractions, shops and public transport

Amazing hotel! The staff are really kind and always ready to help whatever you need. They gave us two complementary glasses of cava and Vermouth and tapas for being Genius members. The location is superb and the hotel is beautiful with a pool tank to refresh in a hot summer day and a beautiful terrace to enjoy a drink.

In summer it wouldn't hurt them to add bottles of water in the room. Is inexpensive and would save us time to call daily for them to bring them to the minibar.

Staff was friendly, accommodating and took care of every need. Bathroom was great! Clean, toiletries, towels...water pressure and hot....spot on!! Balcony was fantastic!! Enjoyed wine outside in exceptionally warm weather. Highly recommend.

That I had to leave. If I had one complaint the pillows were too soft. Thats all I've got.

The staff was outstandingly professional and friendly! What a great team! Congratulations! We arrived a bit early (1pm) for check in and while they were locating a room ready for us, they invited us to a drink and a tapa at 'El gran Clavel' (part of the hotel). The hotel's location is fantastic right at the centre of Madrid. The room was spacious and with everything you might expect, a comfortable bed, nice fluffy towels, professional hairdryer, quality shower gel and shampoo, etc. The breakfast was really good, with a very good selection of quality produce (fruits, breads, pastries, cold meats, cheeses,...) and made to order eggs. The staff at breakfast was also very friendly! I had stayed here before but hadn't tried all amenities and after this experience I definitely will come back when visiting Madrid.
