Hostal Besaya

Everything was great - friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. The location is right on Gran via a few minutes walk to many metro stations, and you can walk to all the main attractions (palace, museums). The hostal has a good living room / common area with a wonderful view over gran via buildings from the 8th floor. Thanks Janine, Martine and the wonderful Besaya team.

A kettle and fridge are missing from rooms and always welcome, however there is a great cafe and bakery across the street and supermarkets nearby.

Great location, just off the Gran Via, which meant close to the retail centre of the city. Previously, we'd stayed near Plaza de Santa Cruz in the old town district, so this gave us the opportunity to explore another part of the city. And, best of all, both of us were able to fit into the lift with our luggage and back-packs at the same time! haha

Our view was onto the building next door, but that didn't bother us, as it meant it was quiet.

location is extremely central. I did not have to take a taxi once during my stay in Madrid except to return to the airport. of course, I do not mind walking a bout 15 to 20 minutes.

you internet connection. it was extremely poor. you will be connected for 5 minutes then no connection at all. that I would have connectivity issues in one of the most famous cities in the world of all places was interesting. if it is one thing the facility can do to be top notch is improve the internet connectivity.

Location wise it's unbeatable. Literally on gran via but tucked away on a side street so that it's not so noisy. There was a nice view of the Madrid rooftops and you can take peek at gran via from the corner.

The bathroom was tiny and it was very pricey for what it was.

The hosts were very nice and friendly. The room was clean and had air conditioning and an ensuite. The location was excellent and central.

Nothing really, it was quite expensive but for the air con and location I think it was justified.

Easy check in. Nice part of town. It's right off of Gran Via (touristy). Metro is close but we walked and took Ubers. The airport is 15 - 20 minutes away.

Shower leaks onto the floor. I have one of those in an RV (Caravan?). Mine leaks worse!

Great location. Lovely room (with tiny balcony). Friendly staff. Very clean.

Shower was more a ‘mist’ than actual water. Shower head not fixed in place (when on it swivelled). TV not tuned in.

Excellent location right in the middle of Gran Via. Staff is also very friendly :)

The lift to the hotel was a bit sketchy, but everything else was super :)

Great location. The price is fair for what you get. The staff was friendly and helpful.

You hear, literally, everything from the other rooms. My room was next to the reception, so it was even worse.

Kind staff, perfect location, safe, and very clean. Will certainly come back.

The bathroom is too small, but was already expected.
