Hotel Mayorazgo

I want to thank hotel mayorazgo for the service after check out. When we arraived at the terminal we understood we forgot one of the handbag at the hotel!! I called the reception and they contact another driver that came and gave us the bag! They did it no charg- only as an exellent service!!!

We paid for city view room but most of the window was in front of the next building. We could see the street if looking from the side but I expected more..

The hotel is situated in a quiet little corner in the middle of the commercial district, within a walking distance of numerous sites and Plazas of Madrid. It’s also close to 2 central metro stations that could help you get fast almost anywhere you want in Madrid. The room was big enough for a family of 4, well equipped, very comfortable and very clean. The personnel was very helpful at all times and made our stay so pleasant! We are grateful for that! If you are staying in this hotel don’t miss out the breakfast! Great variety and a perfect way to start your day! All in all the hotel is a great choice to make your stay in Madrid very enjoyable!

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about this hotel. It made my stay extremely comfortable.

The main benefit of this hotel is that it's very centrally location (at least from my limited understanding of Madrid), it's sitting right beside a really main street that has bus connections that are easy to use. the room is also very nice, big and has everything you need from a hotel room, the shower was great, the airoco was working well. there is also free wifi which works ok.

there are only two bad points I would give to this hotel: 1. the scent that they use in the lobby and in the corridors leading to the rooms, it's really horrible, I am sure some people will like it but even so it's overwhelming, it's so strong and it even leaks into the room itself. 2. the room we had was facing the inside of the hotel, to an inner courtyard sort of thing, and sometimes people would smoke from their window to that area and the smell would come up and make it unbearable to keep the window open

I thought the location was amazing!!! We really just stumbled upon this hotel due to the price. We loved that you had 3 beds in one room that suited me, my sister and my mum. The rooms were really nicely designed and comfortable. I really cannot say a bad word about this hotel. It had everything we needed and above all was excellent value for money in the most perfect and central location! The Gran Via main shopping and theatre area is right on the doorstep! I will be returning!! I booked the hotel for 2 other people too that came with us and they was very impressed with our choice. They booked 2 single rooms and the price was extremely competitive! My friend loved her room on the 3rd floor with the terrace! The staff were lovely and helpful too! The staff in the bar were also really friendly and helpful!

Nothing! It was perfect for us!!! It had everything we needed with a lovely touch of history to the building too.

very good location, on Gran Via, 5 minutes walk to Plaza Espana and within walking distance to most “must-see” places in central Madrid. Hotel itself is clean with nice decorations in hallways and bar/restaurant. Room we booked (superior double) was of reasonable size, with a comfy bed, essential toiletries and double glazing windows which kept off all the noise from street. reasonable breakfast options given price paid.

I wish there was an electric kettle in the room, it’s become an essential in 4 star hotel rooms, and we’d very much needed during our visit in winter.

The art work is nice on the bedside wall. The room is well lit. Breakfast service was nice and had a nice selection. The location is very convenient and was able to choose from three metro stations to start my journey. Very close to the Royal Palace I consider a safe a must and Im fortunate to fit my laptop and camera in there. Very well cleaned.

In my particular room, 330, the window had a view of the other bedroom windows and the sky. I didnt have a shower curtain that caused a mess everytime i had a shower. The telephone wasnt working, so I wasnt able to raise my queries, i did raised the problem but no engineer came to fix. The toilet door has a tight swing to the sink. The toilet roll holder is poorly located, i ended up using the door handle as a holder. Kept hearing the lift and would cause sleep deprivation. I heard children screaming and running around in the corridors even though I had the ‘do not disturb’ sign. Being a single man, the caberet next door kept asking me to visit their adult shows during late nights…. 😂

Great breakfaat, very close to gran via and plaza Rooms cleans and big. Hot water in the shower and fresh towels everyday. Very nice staff.

The first room we got had a twin bed and not a double bed, the booking does not ask you which bed you want in the room, so we needed to wait for a new room, but they took care of us. The street is a bit noisy, if its a friday or saturday night you can here the streets very loud if youre not in the right room.

The room was large and nice. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Public areas were nice and gave a luxurious feel.

It felt as if the hotel management was trying to save money on us: No heating for the first 3 days (in November!), and when it was finally turned on we couldn't adjust it. No coffee maker or even a kettle in the room - when we asked we were informed that there was tea at the bar for 3 euros a cup. Breakfast included many items of medium quality or less , and the coffee was weak and watery.

The location is very central but bedrooms close out all external noise. The balcony was appreciated as a solo traveller. I was made to feel welcome and safe. The restaurant and bar staff were exceptional. The room was spotlessly clean. A comfortable bed and bedding was much appreciated. Air conditioning was welcomed as I cannot stand the heat! The security guard was on 24/7 and made me feel even more safe. He was very friendly and approachable too.

I just wished there were coffee making facilities in my bedroom.

The location of the hotel is excellent. we walked to all the attractions, there are plenty of great restaurants, shops, cafes. Our room was spacious and clean, the shower was great with plenty of toiletries, quality sheets and towels.

I was very disappointed that they didn't have complimentary water in the room. A water bottle costs a few cents for the hotel but it makes such a big difference for a guest who travelled a long way to feel they are taken care of.
