Room was big and comfy. Breakfast was a small continental buffet with breads, danishes fruit, condiments, tea and coffee. It was all that we needed and enjoyed what was on offer. Great location in old Quebec town, situated in good spot to walk around the old town and close to some great restaurants and cafes. Hotel is situated across from the Museum of civilisation - which is a must see. The restaurant - Matto, was very good with a great menu and food was delicious.

It can be a little hard to find the breakfast, so maybe explaining to the guests where it is. The room we had was a little noisy- air con ? The the garbage trucks were loud on some days.

everything was beautiful but the best part was Jimmy and his dinner and entertainment recommendations! out of this world dining and the best hidden jazz bar ever!! we will definitely be back, just for Jimmy!

We enjoyed and appreciated ALL things at Hotel 71. The location was fabulous, close to the river and charming bistros, outdoor cafes and music! The hotel staff was knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. We were allowed to check in 1-1/2 hours early after disembarking from a cruise ship. In the meantime, they secured our luggage and delivered it to the room. We had requested a river view and got a room with a beautiful view of the river and Old Quebec. Room was a good size, immaculate, well-appointed and quiet. Concierge services spectacular! No complaints! Only compliments!

There is nothing I did not like about our stay at Hotel 71 !!! I would have liked to be able to purchase breakfast at the hotel . Aprreciated the coffee, however.

We had a spacious room with a comfortable bed and excellent noise insulation -- for that, I am thrilled with the hotel. Nothing is more important than a good night's sleep and they excelled at that. Also appreciated that the room had a Nespresso machine & capsules + a hot water kettle. Decent, free wifi connectivity. Location is nice, in the lower section of Old Quebec, with a 5-20 minute walk to nearly any tourist attraction.

Prices often reflect an "upscale" stay and this hotel was nice but unmemorable. Valet parking only (we instead chose to self-park at the garage between the river & civilization museum, C$18/day) and no complimentary breakfast (C$24pp starting at 7:30am). We would stay again on a good deal.

This hotel is located in an historic area, full of art galleries, just outside the boundaries of the historic centre but in easy reach of funiculaire or steps to the mighty Chateau Fontenac Hotel. Our superior room was spacious with two large windows overlooking Saint Lawrence River providing plenty of light to the room and in our case beautiful sunrises on both our nights stay. It provided all the modern facilities and amenities you would expect from this standard of hotel - high quality mattress pillows and bed linen ,plenty of storage including access to under bed for two opened large suitcases.In addition there was coffee machine, focussed bedside lighting mini fridge as well as iron and ironing board.They provided high quality occitane products in the bathroom We were able to provide a generous bag of clothes for washing and drying for CAN$25 unlike many hotels where you pay extortionate prices for each item Can only recommend this hotel for its class style and location and proximity to excellent modern restaurants

The hotel is really nice, with a great location. It is clean, the bed is very comfortable and there is a good amount of amenities.

The hotel offers a breakfast for 25 dollars - it is definitely not worth it and is surprisingly low quality as to what we expected in a hotel of this rank. We went to breakfast at 9:55 and the employee who checked us in for breakfast didn’t tell us that it is until 10 so at 10 sharp the staff just took everything (which wasn’t much anyway) away. We ended up having yoghurt, banana and coffee for 25 dollars. Would not recommend getting this breakfast, instead we recommend eating out - will be a lot cheaper and nicer.

Great location. Really nice boutique hotel with great rooms and a separate sitting area. Super bed linen and bathroom products. Bathroom was very good with a fab shower that even my husband who’s over 6” tall could stand in comfortably. Staff were super helpful.

The restaurant is outsourced (but very good but book asap as its very busy) and there is no hotel bar for a nightcap or a pre dinner cocktail. They do have “wine on tap” which was pretty cool but sitting in a small lounge with your drink lacked atmosphere.

Great location. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Coffee machine in lobby was great. Parking was not that far away and fairly priced for a city. Nice view from upper floors. Would stay there again. Restaurant connected to the lobby was really good.

Was a little bit expensive but I guess that is what 'boutique' hotels cost these days. Parking would be expensive if you had to go in and out more than once a day.

Our group's rooms were spotlessly clean and interestingly unique in a very good way. The staff were very friendly and spoke both French and English. The hotel is nicely situation with plenty to see in the immediate area and only short walks to see much more. There is an attached restaurant, Il Matt, and it was excellent and worth booking a meal there. There is lots of sitting room to get together and talk. Only negative to the hotel is that one of their two elevators was not working. This made the occasional long wait.

so close to everything, best shower I’ve ever had, the staff was exceptional! VIP- Jimmy at the front desk was amazing! friendly , beyond helpful!
