First Hotel Jörgen Kock

Everything was great with our stay at First Hotel. First of all, the location is perfect - 5 minutes by foot to the central station and then 5 more minutes to the city centre. The room was spacious enough for our expectations and clean as well. The breakfast is great with a big variety so you would never get bored.

Great location, it’s just a few minute walk to the central station of Malmö! For us it was better than being in the center, and getting to the center was also just a short walk, which didn’t bother us. Even though the hotel is quite big, it was quiet and comfortable at night. The beds were absolutely amazing! Breakfast was very diverse, we loved it. They even gave us breakfast bags as we had to leave at 6 am on the end of our stay. Staff are all super friendly!

Bathroom could use a renovation, and windows can’t be opened completely which made us feel a bit suffocated.

Hotel was good, at first i was scared because many people complained about bathrooms not cleaned and all this, idk maybe they really toke care of that complaints or some people had bad experience, our room was located on second floor 213 and one of our family friends were staying at 3rd floor and i can vouch for them too that their room and bathroom were cleaned as well. Breakfast was awesome we really liked it, even thu some guests really made a mess at breakfast hours, but staff was so calming and dealing with all those cleaning 700-1100. Location is good city center is close central station is closed by too, some shops too parking lot as well which hotel staff managed it for us till Monday morning 8:00. Good thing you can pay with only card. Hotel staff we found them really helpful specially the lady who welcomed us i forgot her name and caludia, who explained us everything regarding new year's eve where to go and where we can see fireworks more better We had one issue with the heating but it was resolved and I won't count it as a bad thing because hotel was full and there were a lot of people coming and going because of new year. But still they managed to make us sleep warm and better, They have restaurant open till 1:00 am, free coffee and cold water served and they can make you great sandwiches, mini bar too (ofc you have to pay). I think best location and best price in Malmö. Breakfast timings are good.

Well there is nothing to dislike, yet i would like to suggest them an ashtray outside the hotel as there was many smokers including me, and all the cgrt waste was thrown in plant's or either on road. There was a municipal garbage, and i noticed i was the only one who was coming till the municipality garbage box to smoke.

When we arrived we couldnt pay with cash, so we had to pay with a card but the thing is on the app the price was 370€ (and it was written below the price *included tax and fees*.) and on the reception to pay with card the price was shown as 390€ and the employee didn’t know why the price was higher and he said he will ask his manager but we never got an answer regarding that even when we asked the other employee about the payment that was on shift the last day before we left she said that she doesnt know anything about that.

We just stayed one night, but I cannot fault the hotel. Room was as expected, big, airy, quiet. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Staff were nice and helpful. They allowed us to leave our baggage until it was check in time, so we could explore the city. Breakfast was very good, loads of variety of savoury and sweet options; and they give you the option to take food away, to avoid wasting food, which I thought it was a very good idea. Location is great, just a few minutes away from railway station and close to the centre and the harbour area. I would recommend it.

1) Near to Malmö Central , just 5 mins walk. 2) Whole day front desk with friendly staff. The staff: Sidne goes beyond to explain us the map and where to go in Malmö. She is so friendly and kind. Whole day unlimited coffee and tea 3) Spacious room with hangers, toiletries, towel, shampoo, hairdryer. But no kettle. 4) 2 chairs with one table near the windows for relaxing. 2 more side tables near bed. 5) Good soundproof, not noisy, I had good sleep. 6) Comfortable bed with study lamps 7) Two cupboard. 8) Breakfasts are great with so many varieties of food, have cereal, multiple types of drinks, cheese, bacon, brioche bun, bread, yoghurt, orange, grapes, eggs etc. 9) Washroom is spacious, only the wet and dry area compartment might not be so good after you showered. 10) There are many electric outlet, so rest assured you will have enough outlet to charge your electronic belongings. 11) Good view from the room.

1) If there is kettle, it would be great, but no worries. There is hot water for tea at the dining area

even thought the hotel seems far away from central it isnt max of about 5/10 min walk and super easy to find. my group and i had 2 twin rooms believe me the rooms are huge! could easily fit 4 beds the bath rooms are nice and comfortable, the beds are really comfortable and one of the rooms had youbeds which are eletronic adjustment beds which 2 of our group adored only let down was lack of a/c but not a major issue, the breakfast was really good and everyone in the group left well fed every morning. all of the staff we had encountered was really nice and welcoming. we stayed in a total of 3 hotels on our trip in denmark and sweden but this one was the best by far and would always recommend

only fault we had was no a/c but we was provided with fans to help

The location of the hotel was great. It was a short 2 min walk from the Centralstation and approx. 6 min walk to the city centre. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, because of the pancakes and a choice of fresh fruits. The overall stay was very pleasent.

Watch out for the room entrance doors! It does not close all the way on its own, you need to push it abit. Otherwise it starts beeping reminding you to do so.

The location was great, only a couple blocks from the central train station and very walkable to Stortorget/Lilla Torg area. The rooms were well appointed and included soap/shampoo and a hair dryer; the beds were not quite as plush as we're used to but still comfy. The rooms had a little bit of a dated dorm feel to them but they were spacious and clean. The hotel rate included a wonderful breakfast every morning. Dinner was also available for purchase, which we did not try but it smelled great every evening. The staff were helpful and able to accommodate our request to extend our stay. Overall, fantastic value!

There were no USB outlets in the room to charge phones, but we were prepared with our European outlet adapters for our US electronics. Overall not a big deal for us! Just something to be aware of for other US travelers.

The hotel location next to central train station and shopping centers is a plus. Staffs available 24/7 is an added advantage compared to other small city hotels. Staffs very helpful and accommodating. We stayed for our sons birthday and informed hotel about this. Jimmy was very helpful and surprisingly arranged a small packet of mixed chocolates. Thanks Jimmy :) My son loved it :) Being an ex-hotelier myself worked in 5 different hotels in 3 different countries, I am happy with the overall facility, service and liveliness of the hotel.

1. Car park is bit expensive like other city hotels. But it was right in front of the hotel which was a plus. 2. Breakfast they need to keep few more options for vegetarians. They did had pancake but it was kept along with bacon which completely spoiled our appetite. 3. I got to know only later pets are allowed in the hotel rooms at a cost. I am allergic to cats though we didn't feel any smell in the room it would be helpful if it is clearly mentioned in the website and room selection and hope the hotel maintain separate rooms for pets if they are allowing!
