Scandic Star Lund

Great for families with kids. We loved the swimming pool, play room, and theatre/cinema. You could stay in the hotel and not get bored! Our daughter loved the kids buffet from the hotel restaurant and breakfast was very good, with many options available from the buffet.

The room was very dirty when we arrived and we understood there was an issue with housekeeping, for which we had to wait over 1h for checking in. Yet, we requested the room cleaning service every other day but it was never cleaned properly. They only changed towels and also came late in the evening.

Spacious comfortable family room with two rooms and two TV’s. Super friendly staff who welcomed my kids with a voucher for a free drink. Nice pool and sauna (but you have to book it). Good breakfast.

Nothing much but we were lucky to get the last available slots for the pool - if we had waited and booked later we probably wouldn’t have been able to use it, which is a bit sad if the pool is one of the reasons you booked the hotel.

The hotel has great parking opportunities directly outside the entrance. The location is very good due to the fact that it is localized outside the central Lund, which is complicated and time consuming if you bring your car.

The breakfast bread is boooring. There are som long bread baking traditions in Scandinavia and none of these are implemented in the buffet. what I want is large breads with crunchy shell and soft, fresh inside. preferably with and without various seeds on and inside.

The family room was really good for a family of four plus a dog. The breakfast was great, and we also found a bag of dog goodies from our room. Also: the description of the hotel doesn't tell it, but there's actually an indoor pool with a sauna that can be reserved via the hotel app for free.

Nothing, really, this was a really solid hotel. Especially the kids really liked it.

We have stayed in this hotel before, so we obviously like it. The staff is very pleasant, the rooms and amenities (exercise room and pool) are good, and the location is perfect for making day trips by car in Skåne. The breakfast buffet is fantastic.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with the pool, which we have otherwise enjoyed. The dinner was a bit pricey, but I suppose we must all pay for the irrational sanction policies and general 'green' madness.

It was an extremely child friendly facility. Playing room for the kids was particularly useful.

I didn't understand the logic behind registering for breakfast hours. You have to pick an hour for breakfast and you have 15 minutes of oppoortunity to come to breakfast. This is supposed to be a holiday and I didn't like this stress.

Incredibly kid friendly place with very very good breakfast. Our 9 year old loved the PlayStation and playroom plus a good magic show in the theater. Free kids drink at check in.

Need to register to use pool. Be sure to register for breakfast. You are told about these things at check in so be sure to do it as slots fill up.

We travelled with one child and the assigned room was divided into two (one with bunkbed and one with queen size bed) parts. Each part had its own TV. It was like a small apartment with two rooms so it was very relaxing for the parents and the kid loves having his own TV and privacy :) we only stayed one night as we were travelling but it was very pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful with so many gluten free or vegan selection. Even it had to be booked in advance, it was not packed.

Breakfast had a timeslot and for us it was ok to eat at 10:30 but it would have been nice to know in advance. The pool the same. We had a slot at 8 and it was for 45 min. It was good for us but it needed to be taken into consider if you have a tight schedule. The pool had sauna and also woman’s shower had one sauna but it was not turned on so by the time it got warm, 45 min was a bit too short.

Big parking space, even with the hotel full you can easily find where to park. Rich breakfast buffet. There is also a small play area for the kids inside.

The room furniture is old and used, compared to other Scandic hotels we have visited. It wasn't as clean as it should be for such hotel standard. The reception doesn't accept any cash even if you want to by just a bottle of water.
