Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel

Not far from the airport and close to some attractions such as desney land ..the shuttle buss to city gate and airport there are some nice resturants attached to the hotel indian food western as well. Very close to the cable car from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping were some nice attraction there

Breakfast was very nice - even some Indian options as well as the local fare and well made omelette / egg options. Can't complain though there was no option to make your own tea / coffee that I could see (they take your order etc). We had lovely weather so the Ocean view when we walked in very much set the tone! Adjustable blinds in the shower - clean and modern overall. Can't complain! The food was fine and room service wasn't unbelievably overpriced. Solid all round and very nice people there (even lent me their own phone cable).

The TV channel options weren't particularly inspiring - a lot of news and some lesser movie channels - still they had multiple countries' news channels which was ok.

Good location for a brief stay.

The way the hotel bills it’s customers. They charge the full accommodation cost plus about another 50% more (which is not unsubstantial) then charge you for your stay when you depart. The original NZD 430 night stay I was quoted resulted in NZD 1120 charged to my card. The original charge then takes days to be refunded to your credit card (I’m still waiting 5 days later). This is not a widely accepted practice and really inconvenient for those who are travelling extensively and use their credit card a lot. I would probably choose to stay elsewhere next time to avoid the inconvenience.

Rooms were very clean, good lighting plus the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel allowed us to check in early and check out late. The housekeeping lady (Mandy) on level 7 was super nice and attended to our every need, made our stay very pleasant. The hotel shuttle bus was great surprise and we used it everyday to get to the train station. The location was great and the views of HK airport is excellent for plane watching. The hotel restaurants are very nice and convenient. The atmosphere is great. We had dinner at Yue and Cafe Lantau, the food and service was excellent. We had breakfast in the lobby lounge, which is much more quiet and private compared to the buffet (again the service and food was excellent). The room service was easy to use and reasonably priced. We spent the 2nd part of our HK holiday on Lantau island and after staying at the Sheraton for the last 3 nights, I wished we had been there for the whole 10 days. There was nothing that I can fault the hotel. Will definitely visit Sheraton hotels again.

a really great hotel. stunning warm pool (all year round), very friendly staff, fantastic buffet breakfast, good selection of restaurants. perfect last or first night in HKG in my view.

Location, shuttle service, cozy beds

Pool supposed to be heated ones, but we noticed it to be vice versa.

Breakfast - Excellent with a large selection buffet. Eastern and Western selections. The chef can prepare freshly cooked omelet or noodle. Clean and tasty. The Hotel provides airport shuttle buses both ways free of charge. This helped when it was my first time to Hong Kong. The Taxi service in HK is colour-coded depending on the area you want to go, which can be confusing. Also, Taxi to LanTau Island is less frequent than to the City.

No instructions on where to find the shuttle bus in the airport. The phone number provided never gets answered when call. One of the shuttle bus drivers on our way back to the airport was very rude, and ignored you even when greetings were given. For a high-class hotel, this attitude is appalling. He was the only rude person we met on our HK trip! My advice for the hotel is to have clear instructions on the website where to get the shuttle bus and more training for the bus driver on customer service. Hence, I rated 9 out of 10.

It is a very nice hotel and most of the staff are very nice and helpful.

Compare with other services provided, the shutter service was the worse. Some of the drivers were very rude and unpolite. I saw a driver chatting with his friend on his cell phone while he was driving us back to the hotel. Although he was using bluetooth, I don't think it is an appropriate practice.

We love the location. Near the airport. Near MTR. Near Disneyland Resort. I love the city view from our room on the 16th floor. Beds were comfy. Shower, AC all ok. Not too cold not too hot. Very clean and quiet. I love the shuttle bus to from hotel to airport, and hotel to tung chung mrt station.

I did not like the new trainer on th reception area. They had us wait for 3 hrs to wait our check in time. I paid when I arrived at 10AM asking for an early check in, but they did not accomodate us. So we eat first at the back of Sheraton killing time. Went back to lobby and my daughter fell asleep. One receptionist saw us and asked if we were waiting for someone. Told them I'm waiting for our room, immediately he gave us a good view of Tung Chung. Worth the wait but something to improve on. Do not tell guests its okay to come early if you are strict with check in time.
