Hotel Nice Riviera

Location of the hotel was excellent, great for the beach, old town and transport links. Worked perfectly for a family weekend exploring Nice

You had to pay to use the swimming pool which was disappointing as didn’t state that when we booked.

The location was excellent with both the sea and the city centre within easy walking distance. There was also a good selection of café, bars and restaurants close by. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and well equipped. Although we overlooked a busy street the room was quite.

We were not able to use the pool -- our primary reason for selecting the hotel -- because the heating had broken down and the water was freezing 🥶

Great location in Nice. Just round the corner from tram stop which can take you to the Promenade and Nice Ville train station or you could easily walk to both. Many shops and restaurants around the area, at Place Massena or down at the Promenade. Hotel very busy with it being the Monaco Grand Prix, it's what we were going to and found this location perfect for train to Monaco. We ate most evenings at tapas restaurants which were all good but busy so best to find one and book for the evening as sometimes late in returning from Monaco, especially if catching the train. We caught Tram No 2 from the airport which is very easy and the tram stop at Jean Medecin is just 300 yards from the hotel. Breakfast is buffet style with hot and cold food and a good selection. Didn't try the swimming pool but good to have one in central Nice. Rooms good size and we had a balcony which was lovely in the morning looking at the sunrise over the mountains. Very clean and rooms well serviced. Staff welcoming and helpful.

A bit of a mix up when we checked in but managed to get into our room before too long a wait.

First of all the location is excellent. Only a few minutes away from the beach, restaurants and local shops, like a Spar near by. Also minutes away from tram stations, one of which took us straight to the Airport. The room was nice with a very comfy bed. Hot water was not a problem and we also had an espresso machine and a kettle in our room. There is also a small pool in the hotel for which you have to pay extra, but we didn't take advantage of it. The breakfast had enough variation to choose from and the restaurant opens very early in case you have a morning flight. Cleaning and towels were changed every day.

There is a small construction going on behind the hotel but it was not a problem during our stay. Nothing else to say on the negative side :)

room was an adequate size and cleaned every day , the bed was large and comfortable , the room was well heated/ventlated,. there was sufficient storage for clothes and travelling "bits", all facilties in bathhroom worked and the water was hot the breakfast was self service and well stocked with cereals and fruit salad, various breads and cakes with ham and cheeses available, hot drinks we via a mechine and were ok as first time vistors to Nice the hotel was a perfect location on the edge of the old quarter, 10 mins walk to promenard , 5 minutes walk to tram lines 1 and 2, , 15 minutes walk to train station ,and local buses very close. the staff were always helpful and informative even managing to find and extension lead for us the hotel does not provide lunch or evening meals but can obtain them for guests

no additional sockets next to bed , hence needing an extension lead the hot drink containers in the bedroom were made of cardboard no clear recycling policy minor point no bananas at breakfast swimming pool is small and an additional daily cost to use

Great l8cation for us in the centre of town and walking distance to the railway station.

Had to ask for another bathtowel as only one left in the room. Would have liked me tea& coffee in the room too. Had to ask for milk on two occasions, one staff member couldn't be bothered but the second one we asked was really helpful & obliging

Sharon on reception was great & really helpful which was reassuring showed us the room before we booked thank you. the location is really good 5-10 min walk to old town Nice, same to beautiful beach front but hotel still in a quiet area just off main shopping area , 10 min walk to Nice train station for travelling to Monaco, Villefranche, Antibes, Cannes, St Tropez, hotel room was big bright clean & airy, bathroom with bath & shower, tea coffee & kettle in room, mini fridge was really useful, free electronic safe, air con, room cleaned every day & towels changed if wanted them, the little touches & helpful staff really do make the difference everything we needed for a relaxing weeks stay, our 3rd visit to Nice wont be the last & Hotel Riviera will be our stay next time.

I liked location of the hotel, it's about m walk far from the train station. I rented a better room, so I liked that I had everything what I needed. I liked the balcony with a nice view The bed was a very convenient The breakfast was also good but it's a little expensive 18 eur/person.

I didn't like that lamp on the balcony which reacts on movement. You move your head and bright light switches on, and feel like a criminal caught at the crime scene by police :)

Location few meters from main street (corso) Av. Jean Medecin. About 5 minutes of walk to famous Promenade des Anglais and beach, 15 minutes to main sightseen Colline du chateau (of course by elevator) - gorgeous viewpoint. Restaurants, shops and others facilities few minutes on foot. Car parking is garage few meters from main entrance (be careful if drive suv - limited heigh, check). Children like swimming pool, as me too (like style of pool with stone border and mosaic tiles). Friendly and cooperate staff. We exetended out stay.
