Best Western Plus Hôtel Massena Nice

Location was great. Restaurants, beach, shops, castle, 'promenade des Anglais' all within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was excellent with stacks of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly and the valet parking was a big bonus. Room was cleaned to a high standard every day. Bonuses were a couple of BBC English channels on the tv, water in the room supplied daily, fridge.

Wifi was patchy. Apparently there was a problem with the network. No air conditioning in the room despite it being advertised as such. When questioned the valet said we could 'open the window' Fine as it was March but I am pretty sure it would not have been good enough in the Summer. I sometimes feel that booking through Booking.com you get the worst of the rooms.

At breakfast most of the food was tasty, fresh and of a big selection. They were all very kind and helpfull in all the work places of the hotel , the reception, the kitchen, the room cleaning etc. The location was perfect, 5 min walk to sites of interest, we used the parking of the hotel at a 25€ daily cost. The size of the room was fine although we could use a second closet.

The breakfast needs refilling all the time and some times they fail to do so even an hour or more before the end of breakfast. We could not find a kind of cheese after the first hour and noone would refill it. This also happenned the last day with bread a whole hour before breakfast ending. Another thing is that they have to do better dish washing, me and my wife in different days we picked a dirty plate and had to change it. And by dirty I mean unwashed! And a last thing , internet was medium , you have to reconnect a lot of times during the day.

The location is excellent. It's close to the sea and centre. The members of staff including cleaners are very nice and friendly. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. We came to rest and woke up late. There are plenty of cafes nearby. The room was comfortable and we were not put next to the other guests- it was low season but it was nice that the guests were spread over.

The only thing is that this hotel has been clearly modernised recently and some parts are still not great. And the entrance area is smaller than we expected. And you don't get a full set of toiletries.However, I don't mean to criticise this hotel. It's just that one should not expect too much.

Staff were super friendly and welcoming on arrival and departure. Location is incredible - very central, and the room had a little balcony as well which was great. Wifi worked excellently. Room also had a mini fridge, and the bathroom was neat and practical.

Air conditioning wasn't working but wasn't a big deal as it was winter - I can see this being a problem in summer though. Room was the right size for one, but may be a little small for two people.

The location and the hotel staff are perfect. the room had lovely balcony that I didn’t want to leave and could sit there for hours. the room itself was modest but clean. nothing extra but the location and balcony were amazing and I might come back! Breakfast for gluten intolerant was really nice but torturous looking at those amazing French pastries. Thanks for gluten free bread and nice tea selection. also super grateful for an early check in. my flight arrived 8.30 and I could leave my luggage and change and they made sure that after check out my room was cleaned first so I made it there at 13.00 instead of 15.00 and could even get some nap. amazing. love the experience

My opinion on the hotel is more excellent, the welcome is respectful, the location of the hotel is excellent, great rooms, designed in an exemplary manner, clean and polished. The high level bed is comfortable and high quality. The hotel environment is clean and bright. The breakfast is of a very good standard. Although my wife is sensitive to gluten and lactose, the hotel staff took care of us and especially provided what we needed for breakfast. We will highly recommend you all here. Our score is 10 out of 10

Room wow Location Excellent Breakfast Cleaning

fantastic location, close to beach, old town and train station only 15 min walk. the staff at the reception and check in were exceptional, helpful, attentive and just the best customer service I have ever experienced. I wish all customer experiences were as wonderful as what we experienced here. rooms were spacious.

all good, if I had to select something it would be the rooms were not very sound proof so if you were in the bathroom you could hear next door

1. Some of the crockery and cutlery was not thoroughly cleaned. Some crockery had cracks. 2. Something worth mentioning...the curtain hooks on the one voile curtain in the room was not aligned correctly . It became visible simply because of the beauty around it.

We spent a four day birthday getaway and couldn't choose better place! They were so nice since we got at the hotel, making everything they can and more to get our room ready earlier and when we got in the room, there was some local white wine, sweets and a so lovely happy birthday message written at the mirror. The room was amazing, with a huge and comfortable bed, a big bathroom with shower and bathtub; located in the top floor with two terraces, and in the one in the corner, two chairs and a table, a perfect spot for breakfast and some private dining! Location of the hotel is just perfect,it´s walking distance to the center, the beach, they have a great bakery with incredible sweets just in front and even a local delicious brasserie in the corner. I really LOVED all the details they had with us and we are so grateful with the staff for a lovely stay! Specially Ruben, the spanish speaker front desk agent( hope I´m not confusing his name, because he so needs a mention for his exceptional customer care service).I´ll repeat for sure and recommend them 100%
