Hôtel Le Seize, Nice Centre

The location was really great - close to the old town and promenade but not so close that the noise would bother. Literally everything was within walking distance for us. There are 2 rather large shops for Southern Europe very close and the perfect fresh breakfast cafe (La popote d'Ondine Blacas). The price was really affordable when thinking about high season prices in Nice. The staff was helpful.

There was a kettle in the room to make coffee in the morning but the house cleaning didnt restock with instant coffee packages. We had to ask for them every morning ourselves. Sadly there was no iron in the room - its not listed in the fascilities that we only noticed later. We had an expectation that there is one.

Location is absolutely excellent, a short safe walk into old town and the beach. Room was cleaned and towels refreshed daily. Will stay here again on future trips to Nice. Check hotel rates on their own website before using booking dot com… wish we had…

There wasn’t anything to dislike. It’s not the Ritz, but typical of a friendly inner city hotel.

Lovely staff. Upgraded our room as well. Size of the room was great, and for the value I couldn’t complain at all. Location was great, a 8 min walk from Old Town, but also there was loads of stuff around the hotel.

Sound outside was slightly annoying, but I was aware of this before booking, and they provided ear plugs in the room which was a nice touch. We spent most of our time out in Nice, so we really just needed somewhere to stay and this ticked all the boxes.

Breakfast was great, location very convenient, only 3-5 minutes away from direct train line to Nice Airport (from Terminal 2 -to Durandy (to Port Lympia direction))- you are at the heart of the city and you don't need any transport once you get the hotel. And the staff were very helpful, the lady at the breakfast room soo lovely and at the reception. Thank you so much.

The carpet at the room and the curtain were dirty but other parts of the room were clean.

Hotel is located in downtown and within walking distance to the beach and oldtown. The tram station that takes you to the airport is about a 5 minutes walk away. The room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed. Theres even a fridge and they offered free soft drinks and water on the first day. There's also a coffee machine and kettle in the room which we used daily. The shower had consistant hot water and was poweful and toilets are very clean. The receptionist (man in glasses) was very helpful and welcoming and explained to us how to get around Nice and gave us a map. The lady receptionist was also very friendly and helpful as she was the one that advised us about the tram to the airport. It is so much quicker and easier than taking the train. Overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend this hotel.

There were mosquitos in the room and we were both bitten many times at night.

‘access to courtyard’ from a superior room - no sign of one. There is a lounge area advertised with keycard access on the fourth floor - the door doesn’t open so it wasn’t accessible. you can’t select a room with a better view, for the price and the title of ‘superior room’ we had hoped for an externally facing room

Perfect location. 5 minutes walking to Massena. 10 minutes to Promenade des Anglais. To our surprise, on Friday and Saturday nights, the street was blocked and the 3 restaurants on the block have tables out for customers. Excellent food, make sure you make a reservation in advance. They are all booked by locals who goes there. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. We couldn’t ask for more. The stay was perfect

Everything is up to my expectations. Very reasonable price for the location. It’s in France and room size of course is smaller than in the US. Hotel is to sleep at night and luggages storage during the day. Everyone is out to e ply the area anyway

Location is excellent. Everything you want to see and do is within a 10 minute walk. Great bars and restaurants nearby. Very comfortable bed. Peaceful nights sleep. Aircon was an absolute blessing. Lovely lounge to relax and freshen up in after you check out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good value for money.

Very minor things! The hair drier in the room wasn't great, burnt your hand when you used it. Shower pressure a little low. Acces to a shower after check out would have been handy given the heat/beaches, but nothing that would put me off staying again.

I am really grateful to the staff!!! Reasons are: 1) when we checked in, receptionist Michelle lent us an adaptor since we did not have our own not even to charge our phones. 2) prior to our trip, we decided we wanted to stay for one more night and had to book it separately through them bc there was no availability via booking. It was a little bit more expensive. We were supposed to change room but very kindly, Michelle, the receptionist, again, let us stay in the same room and offer us to have our last breakfast at half of the original price. 2) have dietary requirements as I am coeliac and requested gluten free bread in advance. They did not have it ready for our first breakfast, although they were more than keen to help and sorted it out quickly.

Facilities and the whole building were old fashioned but there was a lovely elevator to get to the floors so I would say it is still lovely.

Lovely, helpful staff who were very obliging and patient with my attempts to speak/understand French! The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in! Really appreciated the complimentary snacks and drinks, fab coffee machine and tea making facilities.

Slightly strange room configuration with the bed against the wall but perfectly functional, welcoming and everything we needed.
