Hotel La Villa Nice Victor Hugo

We were upgraded to a room on the top level with an awesome view over Nice and the hills behind. The room was large, with a sitting area--a unique room with four windows in a turret overlooking different parts of the city. Nice bathroom and extremely well appointed with everything needed for a comfy stay. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good for the price. Short walk to the beach and Old Nice, close to tram stops as well (although we didn't need it).

Had to pay 25 Euros to park in a lot down the road. No area to pull in to drop/pick up luggage.

The hotel was very well located in the city centre but not in a noisy part of it. It was less than a 10 minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais and a 15 minute stroll to the old town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Valerie was fantastic. The rooms were excellent and it felt like it had been renovated recently, spotlessly clean, a good size and comfortable plus really good value. It was my first visit to Nice and I loved it and will return. on returning my first choice will be to the Hotel La Villa Victor Hugo

The location is excellent. An easy walk one way brings you to the heart of Nice and the old town. A ten minute walk the other way brings you to the train station. The tram to the airport is very close to the hotel. Staff are helpful and have very good english.

It would have been nice to have a bar serving draught beer but there are other bars nearby.

Great location- quiet area but so close to everything. Walking Distances: Tram stop from the airport (2 mins) Beach (5 minutes) Railway station (8 mins) Massena Square (5 mins) Old town (10 mins) Super-U supermarket (5 mins) So lovely to return from the hustle bustle of Nice centre at night to a quiet street. Rooms are simple but have that French boutique look. They have 3 levels of air conditioning ( so brilliant in the hot weather) We found the staff helpful and some really helpful, offering good advice and being prepared to go the extra mile. We can recommend breakfast. Well set up and a good variety.

The hotel is within easy walking distance to the Promenades des Anglais, numerous outdoor cafes, and the old town area. The promenade and streets are teaming with people, so you feel safe during an evening out. We had a nice view of the church across the street and the windows were good quality in regard to sound deadening.

The shower had a curtain around it, but shared the floor with the main part of the bathroom. Since there was little slope to the floor, taking a shower caused water to cover the entire bathroom floor. Based on our friends' experience, not every room had that problem.

First and the most, it has a great location. I also liked the balcony. The bed is huge, and very confortable. Overall the interior is stylish. Nice tea, coffee, water, as we like it. This is a good hotel to stay at.

I wished to have a balcony with a view on the beautiful church but was not lucky enough. There were also no slippers for the bathroom. The rest was great.

The hotel is clean and bright, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is good. A direct walk to the beach takes about 12 minutes, and a leisurely meander to the beach through the old town takes about 30 minutes. The tram line 2 from the airport has an exit at Jean Médecin that lets you out only a couple of blocks from the hotel. The hotel has beach towels to borrow which is a huge plus! I didn’t get the hotel breakfast and chose to visit various boulangeries and cafes for le petit dejeuner instead. I really thought it was a new hotel but found out it’s been open since 2013. They’ve really kept it up and it’s quite comfortable. Plenty of pillows and large bath towels- two things that always make a difference to me. Would recommend this hotel to anyone! As a solo traveller I felt very safe in the neighbourhood and in the hotel.

Staff have excellent people skills and are very welcoming. The room was spacious, very clean, excellent walk in shower, quality towels, ample open storage for clothing etc and an easy to use safe! Breakfast - good range, space between tables , good value for money. Location most convenient and neat tram from airport. Will definitely use again.

It would be useful in advance whether the room has a balcony or full length French windows which are definitely an asset.

I checked in late ater traveling all night from FL and was greeted so warmly by the front desk. They could not have been nicer. They showed me where to go for restaurants in the area and I felt safe and loved the area. The hotel is in a great area on a wonderful street. I just loved it!

the wifi was so bad and I can’t imagine such a terrible wifi still existed in 2022
