Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven

rooms were great, we were travelling with disabled family and although there were no disabled rooms the staff bought suitable chairs no problem. staff were friendly and helpful access was good

the only problem we had was that we had an early deperature sunday morning and so was in for breakfast at 7.30 and sadly not everything was ready to go. we had to ask the chef several times to cook us an egg despite it being after 7.30, we would not expect it before as were aware it started at 7.30 and the welcome lady let us get a cup of coffee and cold meats etc which was great but as we paid the same as a guest that breakfasted at eight we would expect to get the same.

The location is great. The staff were friendly. Though old it was in good shape. Rooms are big. Beautiful view outside. Nice waiting space downstairs. Free packing for such a nice location. The pizza was great. Our guest from the US was impressed.

We got lost as we were searching the entrance of the hotel. We entered tge side of the restaurant and saw 2 ladies in uniform who were seemingly restaurant workers. They saw us carrying bags, not a warm smile or anything. We had so many bags with 2 babies and a baby carrier. We finally asked at the restaurant were the hotel entrance was. We came out and still met them there. Not a word or to ask if we needed help. One of our guest from the US was so disappointed. She is an old lady and carrying bags all over looking for the entrance wasnt perfect First impression in the room was the toilet, it smelled bad and wasn't properly cleaned. The toilet had rest of human waste stained inside.

Excellent rooms, breakfast, pool, and service. We needed earlier check-in and late check-out (1 hour); both were offered with no fee options. Parking was free, and the location was close to the airport (15 min driving). The rooms were very comfortable, clean and with space to organise our clothes and desks to charge and use our devices easily. The pool service was very helpful; it provided clean towels and a good area to rest while the kids played (they loved it and mentioned that want to come back soon ; )

The Toucan Sportscenter and pool are fabulous with super friendly and helpful staff. Our room was lovely - quirky, modern, spacious and very quiet. Also, well equipped and, most importantly, very clean. There's a huge choice at the buffet breakfast which was a very relaxed and unhurried experience. The Ozzo bar has a great atmosphere for a drink and food. The hotel is about 2.5 miles outside the centre of Eindhoven - a 45 minute walk or a 15 minute bus ride. The hotel is very close to a large park with nice riverside walks.

There was nothing really to dislike. If pushed, I'd say being so far out of the city centre might be a disadvantage. But we enjoyed the walking.

The hotel is very well located to the city center and to the highway. One time you are at the hotel, you haven't to go out for something else, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, even a little shop are located inside of the hotel, even a casino you will find there. The rooms are very spacy....(I had a old room, so the furniture was very well used) Parking free access

The furniture in the old rooms are very used, so the prize for one night of 137.-€ is in my opinion to expensive (single occupation). Very noisy and the staff has to smile more offten. I booked a kingsize bed but I recieved 2 seperated

perfect hotel , nice room and bed and rooftop with a nice view over Amsterdam. Parking in hotel although parking id overal too expensive in Amsterdam

to get out of the parking was a little complicated , someone working in the kitchen was very rude when we asked the way to the rooftop. all the other people working in the hotel were very friendly except for that one guy.

Really nice hotel, will definitely visit again. Stayed while visiting for the football. Triple room had plenty of space for 3 adults and was well furnished with some nice toiletries too. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant and bar area are exceptionally good. We had breakfast which is well worth it with a fantastic choice including a fresh bakery! Location is great, 10 mins on bus from outside the hotel to the city centre and just off the motorway so easy access on arrival and departure.

Very friendly staff and very helpful. The buffet breakfast with fresh food and lots of a selection. The gym is currently under construction but the swimming pool is still available. Close to bus stop and you also have the option to rent a bike or e-scooter.

The room was too warm. No air conditioning. Even with the window open we could cool the room down. Fans were provided but they only circulated warm air.

Close proximity, within walking distance to sports halls, great training facilities on site and surrounded by luscious green nature. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. I especially liked the quiet areas and the breakfast was brilliant.

Some of the consierge staff were highly inefficient, f.eks. it took 4 rounds of back and forth to get a functional room key. The dinner staff were highly rigid when attempting to order a table. There were clearly vacant tables but we had to wait a long time. One night we waited over 1 hour to get our food after we ordered. The waiter then forgot to bring the drink for one of our party. The rules regarding booking a table for buffet or a la cart meny were very strange, despite many vacant tables, they consistently rejected all requests for ordering a buffet dinner. The bathroom was a little worn out, toilet bowls have stainings after years of use.. this should absolutely be upgraded.

I like how there’s so much to do there and it felt like I was in a resort. I asked for a high view and I got a fantastic few of Eindhoven from my room. The food and drink was just amazing really spent b most evenings in the bar and loved it.

I didn’t like the bed sheets where a bit short it width, I had to use the sheet from the other bed to make it bigger. I think some of the food could have been cheaper especially the buffet even though there wasn’t much to offer.
