Queen Hotel

The hotel is right in the middle of the city, only a short walk from the central station. The staff on reception couldn't have been more polite & housekeeping was in every day. The rooms have easy key card access & are larger than I was expecting. I thought the coffee in the room actually tasted better than most of the surrounding cafes. The beds were also surprisingly comfortable & the hotel was really quiet, despite being in a busy area. There are also plenty of shops & restaurants nearby & transport options are decent to.

The TV in the room didn't seem to respond to the remote

- The staff is very helpful and professional and they are truly Queen Hotel's best asset. - Excellent location, you can reach the hotel from the train/bus station in just 10 minutes or less by foot. - The room is very comfortable and bright and the bathroom is quite huge. - I like that Queen Hotel has not fully switched to capsule coffees in the rooms (unlike other hotels). - Wifi is reliable.

- Our room faces the square so it was very noisy at night, even with all the windows closed. - The breakfast food variety could be improved a bit, but overall it was not bad.

It was cool inside even when it was hot and sunny. It was clean, very accessible and the staff were friendly. Good facilities, including air conditioning. It was also very central - only a short walk from the train station and everywhere we wanted to go.

The downside of being so central is you hear the goings on at bars at night - for the most part it was ok, but I was woken up a few times by lots of loud singing and chanting after midnight/1am, so I didn’t get the most restful sleep. I’d want to bring earplugs next time.

Great central location, which allowed us to explore Eindhoven, and enjoy a wander through the town and shops, then a drink and meal just outside the hotel. We only stayed for one night because we had a super early flight the next day, but this was a much nicer option than staying really close to the airport, and hence we didn’t feel as though our travel day had been ‘wasted’. The staff were really helpful and friendly, from the lady who booked us a 4:30am taxi to the man in the restaurant the next morning who directed us to where that taxi would be waiting. Facilities were good - hot shower, cool aircon, thank you Queen Hotel.

In the middle of the central square, close to everything (shops and clubbing basic, nothing else to see in Eindhoven). Friendly staff and the receptionist always willing to help. Comfortable bed with kettle and coffee/tea amenities. Good breakfast in their restaurant where you get 10% for food in other times of the day. The restaurant was excellent to watch the world cup matches with many screens.

Cleaning could be better, and you have to fix the shower gel mechanism (not nice to fell on your foot). I was staying at the back of the hotel, so no noise for me!

The room location is right in the city center, really close to Eindhoven central station, max 5 min walk.

Room is not that well isolated, you can hear the noise from the square or from the hall (if someone slams their door from the room), we tried to sleep because we had a plane to catch in the morning but there was karaoke or something like that near by, which we had to listen for a while but it stopped between 11 and 12pm. But maybe this is the cost for a central location.

The receptionist is a hoot - very welcoming, friendly, funny, at the same time demonstrating the efficiency and practicality the Dutch excel at. The room was large (especially when compared to the traditional sizes of Amsterdam rooms), and very comfortable. The bathroom was also very modern and quite large, lots of hot water. The location could not be better - a five-minute walk from the train station and opening right onto a beautiful plaza with loads of restaurants. Yet the room was very quiet.

My only gripe is that the bathtub/shower floor was a bit slippery. The glass panel that keeps the water inside the tub is not attached to the tub, so there is nothing to hold on to as you step out of the tub with wet feet. Older people might well have difficulty clambering in and out of the bath tub.

I have previously stayed at this hotel and it was my obvious choice for a return visit. If you enjoy a lively but friendly atmosphere then Eindhoven is for you and the hotel is ideally situated with a wide choice of restaurants close by. The hotel offers a discount to travellers wishing to dine next door to the hotel. I rate this hotel the best of the five that I stayed at during a relatively short holiday in Europe. It offers excellent value for money,

The booking in desk is located on the first floor so you have to negotiate steps which may not be ideal for everyone. Staff may be able to help if advised prior to arrival.

Staff, cleanliness and efficiency. Nothing was too much trouble and all employees appeared well trained and knowledgeable. Room was huge and a good temperature, although the decor and furniture is a little dated. We opted for a superior room. Being at the back of the hotel it was really quiet, I was concerned we would hear noise from the square but we didn't (even after the football). The bar and restaurant were as efficient and friendly as the hotel, food portions good and plenty to chose from. Overall a really nice place to stay, we'll definitely use again.

Location is perfect, right in the city center, in pedestrian area. Beautiful bedroom view. Everything was perfectly clean. Staff couldn't be more pleasant and welcoming. Check in and out were smooth and very easy. Everything you need to see in the city is right at your feet.

Pillows were tick and high. I like it very soft, heavenly, but it's just my preference. It's no big deal, I slept good anyway, but still it would have been nice that they were softer.
