Porto Azzurro Aparthotel

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and just as we expected for the cost and type of hotel booked. All the staff we encountered were polite, friendly and very helpful, especially Joanna - so a big thank you to all of them. The added cooking amenities and the fridge in the room were welcome. The pool area was very pleasant, and the car parking was very easy. We enjoyed the quieter location out of the main town and off the busy road, although there were very nice bars & restaurants and a small convenience store close to the hotel, and other transport links literally at the bottom of the road. I would recommend this apart-hotel for a decent no frills holiday which represents excellent value for money. I would certainly stay there again.

I had a good stay at this hotel. feeling of going back in time, (except the elevator which is very modern) which promotes a different experience. I arrived here after 10 nights in a 4-star hotel and I can assure you that despite not being a modern hotel, everything was spotlessly clean (in the room I stayed in and where I went). Nothing is new, but everything is very well taken care of, the sheets were immaculate. I didn't have much contact with the staff, but in the little contact I was well attended. I didn't use the indoor pool, but it looked clean. With affordable prices, it is highly recommended.

Unfortunately there were no sockets near the bed and anyway, in my room (4th floor) floor, I was not able to connect to the Internet and as I need it to work at all hours, I shortened my stay. The region is quiet and not full of commerce, being excellent for just relaxing.

We were lucky to have a large spacious apartment, open plan lounge dinning area with kitchen and two double rooms with two bath rooms. It was Self catering with Plenty of cooking equipment. Pool was lovely. There was a bar by the pool which serves a small amount of food and has drinks available, does seem to shut a little early, but we went out of season. Staff are very friendly and always so so helpful. Good location, nice a quite, nothing seemed far away and when we wanted to venture out abit further we used ‘bolt’ taxi service app.

Would have been nice to have the room cleaned more than once in a longer stay. But I was able to easily get clean towels at reception.

Location near the bus stop, indoor warm pool, very friendly staff! But for this price in the off-season - everything is great

In January, there was no warm blanket to cover yourself with, poor soundproofing of the rooms

This was perfect, to say the least! The hotel is clean, facilities were still being made use of when appropriate, including the outdoor pool. Well sized rooms equipped with anything you may need for your stay with a nice balcony/patio. Yet, the best feature of this hotel are the stuff! They made us feel welcome and wanted all through the stay, being the receptionists, bar/restaurant attendants, chef... Service with a Smile at its best! Keep it up and Thank you for the experience, we will be back :)

A got a room with great sea view on the top floor, so it was amazing. There was also a indoor pool to use. Friendly receptionists. The hotels is right next to a bus stop that takes you directly to the airport.

Breakfast was included in my booking, but it was definitely not a great breakfast. The first day I had English breakfast and the beans and sausage tasted strange and a bit undercooked, as I threw up later that day... The other two days I ate mostly bread and scrambled eggs and it was OK. But yeah, breakfast is very basic and I would probably skip it next time.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good anti Covid measures. Very convenient kitchenette in the room with kettle, microwave oven, toaster and fridge. Perfect for long-ish stays. Good wifi signal. The bus stop to Valletta, Sliema and other destinations is a 1 minutes walk. 2 minutes away you find a Convenient Store, not particularly cheap but handy for the first, basic necessity. A good café is also nearby. Room also quite warm, considering the winter season.

Nothing negative to say. Very good experience for a very honest price.

The room was just what I needed and it had extra blankets, extra pillows, and super hot water. I chose the place because of the quiet location. The staff is all very friendly, especially Jan, who was always smiling and went out of her way to make sure I slept without interruptions. She always asked me how I was doing, which was really nice of her. If you have a car, there is plenty of street parking at all hours. I would definitely recommend Porto Azzurro.

I would change the WiFi as it isn't very strong and did not connect everywhere. Would also be good to provide some dish soap and a sponge for short stays, but I did not ask for any so I don't know if they have available.

Excellent location overlooking St Paul's Bay and countryside as well as being right by the bus stop, Good walking from the back door. Staff were really friendly and helpful especially Xandre and Joanna both of whom helped me with bookings

Nothing I didn't like and the only suggestion I would make is to supply a washing up sponge and some washing up liquid.

Nice, cosy, and very clean, they are changing sheets and making rooms every day. The room was large, with a balcony and pretty view, a comfortable bed. There is both an open and indoor pool in the hotel and gym. They can arrange different tours and sightseeing for you during your stay. Staff was helpful and friendly, especially one guy from Serbia, Uros, who helped me a lot. Good value for money.

Walls are thiny so you can hear conversation and what is happening in the room next to you. Location is bad for exploring Malta using public transport. The station is across the road, but buses are rear, and you must use a lot of connections to go to other parts of the island, so if the purpose of your stay is sightseeing it's better to stay somewhere in Valletta.
