Hyatt Regency Malta

We were a group of 4 friends visiting Malta for the first time. Thanks to the great staff at the Hyatt and especially Nevena, who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay possible, our vacation turned into a dream. The rooms are spacious, brand new and clean. The beds are super comfortable and the balconies are amazing with the best view towards the chapel. The rooftop pool is the place to be if you want to relax, with views to the ocean and a cozy pool. The spa and gym facilities were convenient and clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide assortment of food, great staff that always checked if we needed anything. Above all - Nevena - who is simply the kindest and most professional receptionist we have ever come across. She helped us with everything we needed during our stay. A big thank you for making our vacation unforgettable.

The hotel is very good, new, well furnished. Quite elegant lobby, very nice design and comfortable. Overall services and facilities in the hotel are outstanding; spacious room, immaculate bathroom, very good TV and Internet. There are plenty of elevators and seating spaces in the lobby. Of particular notice was the behavior of the staff; very professional, eager to help and always bearing a smile, particularly Valentina in the reception and Elson at the bar. They helped us with restaurant suggestions and reservations, ideas for places to visit and other needs. The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the nightlife hotspot Paceville, and very close to all attractions in St. Julian.

The only thing that must be considered is the breakfast. While coming at somewhat of a pricey cost (15Euro p/p) breakfast is served with an a-la-carte menu and the choice is quite limiting. Despite having many people serving the breakfast, orders were rather late and access to food/drinks was unsatisfactory. The hotel MUST revert to an open buffet breakfast concept, in line with the overall standard of the hotel.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta. No matter how many days you’re travelling to the country for, Hyatt Regency Malta is the perfect place to stay. The hotel itself is in an incredible location and all of the facilities at the complex are perfect for your needs. The site has live music multiple times through the week which just made an evening meal on the balcony of the room or at the front of the site that little bit more special. The staff at this hotel are incredible and will do their upmost throughout the day to make sure your stay is going as smoothly as it can be. Always smiling and greeting you whenever you see them which is a nice touch. A breakfast buffet is available from 6:30 to 10:30 every morning and has an incredible range of food and drink, definitely something for everyone considering there is also a menu which you can order breakfast dishes from such as smoked salmon and avocado on toast as well as a variety of egg options such as the Benedict. When it comes to the rooms, they are presented in a brilliant condition and cleaned on a daily basis with a full linen change on day 3 of your stay. The rooms are comfortable and have great storage space with a range of inbuilt facilities such as a safe, hairdryer, ironing board, massive flat screen TV, air conditioning and more. The site has two different pools, one on the lower ground floor within the spa complex and one on the 11th floor which is the rooftop accompanied by Ginger which is an outdoor bar serving a range of drinks and snacks. Both pools are perfect to relax, great sizes and always extremely clean. The temperatures in both are great for their surrounding climates. Throughout the week the hotel supplied us with a few complimentary items such as watermelon refreshers on the rooftop and champagne delivered to the room to celebrate our anniversary. I could continue writing this all day but there is only one word for this hotel and that is incredible.

I have no negative comments for this hotel. I believe the team at the Hyatt Regency Malta are continually on a daily basis making sure that the experience is kept at the highest of standards.

The hotel and staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. They held the doors when they saw us coming, took our bags, and had them delivered to our room during the checkin process. We arrived before our checkin time and the early check in was a breeze. The hotel is absolutely spotless! One of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. You would not even find a handprint on the glass anywhere in the hotel and there was a beautiful scent throughout the hotel that was instantly recognisable every time we returned. The bed was made and towels were replaced every single day. Every inch of the room was also cleaned for us everyday right down to the floors, glass, replacement bottles of water, coffee, shower gels. Very polite and attentive staff and even had our food served to us at our sun beds at the rooftop pool. If you want to stay in St. Julian’s don’t consider other 5 star hotels. This is the best! It’s close to the hustle and bustle, nightclubs and shops but tucked away enough that you can get a great nights sleep.

Brilliant location, very friendly attentive staff, delicious breakfast and dinner at the Seed restaurant. It was great to have warm indoors swimming pool open 24/7. The perfect stay.

Communication between Spa and reception. My friends nearly had to pay a late check out fee for a reason that was out of thier control as it was the spa's fault they were late but aside from that it was a near perfect stay.

Lovely modern building with generous bedrooms and amazing showers The hotel has a rooftop small pool and the benefit of a indoor pool which is open 24 hrs. Fabulous to be able to go for a swim at midnight, after a day spent travelling. The best feature is the staff who are amazing, reception, housekeeping and the lovely guys at the door Always a smile from them and wishing you a lovely day. This is the friendliest, best run hotel I have stayed in.

Unfortunately the hotel is in the centre of St Julien’s which has become one big building site, with three cranes overlooking the roof terrace building further hotels and another site just about to begin building behind the hotel.

First the attention from all the team, receptionist, bell boys, waiters and waitress, all the people was really kind and helpful. The hotel looks new, with most of the facilities and furnitures being in good conditions. Breakfast was really nice, dinner was excellent as well. Free parking for the car was definetly nice to have considering how diffcult could be to find free spaces in Malta. The location is particularly good because there is a mall right on front of the hotel with many restos and boutiques. The Spa service was really nice and the ladies managing it are very kind and helpful.

Swimming pools were nice but small, during summer could be very crowded. The noise insulation is not great and you will feel the diference depending on the location of your room. We had 2 rooms, the one for my children was facing the entrance of the hotel, while ours was facing some construction site and probably a road or avenue, the noise from the machinery during the day was kind of annoyiong, and some times we could hear people in the street.

- Cleanliness is excellent! - The staff is very attentive to your needs and some of them even goes that extra mile to make your stay even more memorable. - The furniture positions in the room are very well thought. - The gym have everything you will need for a holiday workout. - The position of the Hotel is literally 2 walking minutes from Paceville but perfectly silent at night.

The inside pool is not that deep and the temperature of the water could be a little warmer. Need to remember this is also a family structure so for the little ones it’s actually perfect. Just as an adult don’t expect to much.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel is very clean. It was great in the indoor pool from 11 pm. We enjoyed bathing alone. Excellent service. Miss Valentina at the info desk was the best. She was patient, very professional and quickly answered our questions with the information we often asked for. Cleaning lady is doing amaizing job.

Breakfast is too crowded after 9 am and from 9 am to the end the food is not replenished fast enough. Food is missing, there are no coffee spoons, fresh orange juice, fried eggs, bacon. From the beginning of breakfast until about 9 am there is everything. We had 3 breakfasts and the waiters did not offer us a menu. Only when we saw other guests eating "eggs benedict" we found the menu on our own and realized that we could order. We don't know why this is not offered to every guest. Especially since there are no eggs in the buffet due to the crowd. But all together staff is great in restaurant.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Every staff member we encountered, from the check- in to the services to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Malta. Special thanks to Nvaena, Valentina, Prashanth, Matthias, Laxmi, Shovan and Justin for making our stay memorable. The other touristic locations were quite accessible from the hotel.

It exceeded our expectations and the atmosphere was very welcoming. There are no such critical shortcomings regarding the services or the hotel infrastructure. But yeah, the spa and pool timings are limited to early evening hours. If there are no regulatory constraints, extension of this timeline could help the residents to have a nice relaxing spa / pool talks after a full day tour :).
