The Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta

The inside pool is within a gym, which is open to non-guests... They ten do go from gym to pool without showering... Also general spa culture is bed with eople going from spa to pool without showering... Generally for a hotel of this level to allow public to enter an in-house gym is not acceptable

Nice hotel in a beutiful location, sea view, comfortable and fresh rooms.

i found the check-out very slow and overwhelming. the recepcionist wanted that we together revise all the little expenses during the stay like a bottle of water, glass of wine or a box of nuts and that all at 5:30 in the morning! really? why not to introduce an express check-out option as i am sure westin does in other countries.

very friendly and helpful staff. fantastic buffet breakfast every morning. so much selection and great quality food. We never got bored at breakfast time. lovely view to the sea from a beautiful pool area. plenty of available sun loungers and towels. short walk to harbour area and lots of restaurants. hotel is close to fantastic bus service that runs up and down the coast from St Paul’s bay to Sliema and Valletta.

The only bad thing was as it was April the outdoor pool was terribly cold and not many adults ventured into it. the children braved the cold pool but it would have been nice to have a heated outdoor pool at a 5 star hotel.

Lovely hotel with amazing outdoor pool and beach area. We had a seaview room and the view was lovely. Room was very clean and bed exceptionally comfortable.

Housekeeping rarely topped up shower gel etc so annoyingly, we were always having to phone reception for more. Air conditioning unit in room was not functioning properly the entire stay and despite reporting it, it was never properly fixed.

Beautiful hotel,the staff really helpful and polite.Breakfast was very good,lots of choices and very high standard of food.Plenty of availability for sun loungers and towels.Would definitely return to the Westin.Special mention to Joseph on reception who was so helpful in every way.A hotel definitely worth its star rating.

We took a tower room, the only minus is that I would have liked the room to be higher. But the staff decided to change to a room with an amazing view. Breakfast is a bit expensive compared to the restaurants near the hotel, but the selection and quantities are crazy. Really tasty and fresh. Very friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed the hotel! Another very important topic! Malta has a bit of a problem with beaches. The hotel has a private beach! linked! even 2!!! Highly recommend the hotel!

At the beach it is not possible to pay in cash, only by credit card

It was an amazing hotel with a beautiful water front location. Sunbeds were easy to get, and the breakfast was superb.

The location outside the hotel was a very big let down. It felt like a very unsafe location for a young family. Too much nighttime clubland activity, loud clubs, smoking, drinking and swearing was huge off-putting aspect. In the hotel it was a different picture, but at times we couldn't leave the hotel at night. As such no evening buffet restaurant in the hotel was a big problem for us. Unfortunately this has all meant we will not be returning to the hotel, which is a big shame as the building, waterfront location and staff were fantastic.

Was greeted to our room with a nice welcome note and bottle of red wine which was a nice touch. The property is the perfect location for a quiet stay bit with the busier “night out” venues nearby. The pools are really clean and lovely and well maintained. The hotel is cool and clean, piano player was a nice touch even though they didn’t play all week sadly as we love piano music playing. The hotel is truly lovely and we will be back for sure. We asked for extra hangers and they delivered 20 for us which was really good, as we like to hang everything. The service around the pools and in the restaurants was very good, as was the food choices and food quality. At the reef club pool when ordering on the QR code you can add a note which was great for us as we could detail allergies and edits to the food but this was not available at the main hotel pool - it would be good to have consistency here. Really impressed with the engage of milks different from just cows. I am considering this hotel for my mums 70th birthday trip next September for a large group.

The aircon ! Sounds crazy but the aircon in the inside bar area is way to cold, we didn’t sit and have an evening drink at all during our stay due to it being too cold to sit in there. We would have loved to sit and have drinks after dinner in the bar. More piano music would have been nice too. With two pianos you should use them more. Our room had a bit of a weird “ toilet waste” smell if the air con was off and the pillows were not great - too lumpy and hard or too thin and lumpy. Menu items could be labelled with allergens. I have a cows milk allergy and couldn’t determine easily what was in each dish.

Spacious property. Good pools and sea access. No sandy beach in the property but one is located nearby (crowded). Service staff were friendly and great. Breakfast was nice. Stayed with our two year old and she loved it, had a kids area as well. Location was not bad - lots of clubs / bars nearby so after around 9pm not ideal for kids. Got taxis to go to places - very quick and reasonable prices (Uber, Bolt, E-cabs).

Property feels a little dated. Our room did not have a proper working hair dryer, iron (had to get this replaced twice), some sockets dont work. Awful smell from the bathroom. Reception staff don’t come across genuine - seems like they are reading off a script.
