Travelodge by Wyndham Rapid City

It had very easy access from I-90 and to get to Mt Rushmore. The room was clean, the lady was preparing it when we came. It had plenty of outlets for charging phones and computers, and the internet was good. Had coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator.

The chair they had for the desk was way too big. It took up a lot of room, and you couldn't get by the desk and bed because of it. The TV had very poor reception and very few cable channels. Nice access to the many attractions in Keystone and Crazy Horse Monument. Not too many guests the second day we were there, Very quiet.

The staff woman at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. The building is older but has been renovated and was very clean

We booked 2 nites knowing we would come in late the next day but before check in time for that day. Our plan was to be able to check in that morning since we booked the night before. The booking website didn't tell us that if we didn't check in by 2am they cancel the reservation, this wasn't a hotel issue, rather a site booking issue since we actually specified what we were doing when we booked.

The check in staff was friendly, efficient and helpful! This hotel is older, but has been maintained well, was clean with a comfortable king bed in a great location (within walking distance to restaurants). Due to COVID, bag breakfasts were provided if you went to the front desk in the morning (food was generous with muffins, granola bars, apple and bottle of water). Also, the toiletries were provided in a bag upon check in.

Our window wouldn't latch. $250 refundable damage deposit was required.

VERY CLEAN but our room was not cleaned during our all day absence. Sounded like short staffing. Brand new fluffy white towels.

No breakfast as was advertised on website. TV did not work.

Understanding that covid restrictions were still in place, we found our stay to be comfortable--appreciated refrig & microwave. Shower was awesome! Balconied room was also a plus!

Hoping to enjoy the pool but it was extremely cold (& I am a daily swimmer!) Just wasn't expecting that with recent temps over 90. Realized it was outdoor but wasn't pleasant.

Very quiet location. Comfortable room.

Complimentary breakfast was a brown-bag affair only. Bed had one blanket only. A second one in-room would have been nice, but I had to go and ask for one at the desk. Fridge had no freezer, could not re-freeze my cold-paks

I would have preferred a better breakfast but with covid restrictions the sack breakfast was perfect. The location of the motel was perfect for sightseeing.

Nothing the motel could do, but getting into traffic from the motel was dicey.

It was for the most part a quiet place to stay being that close to a busy part of town.

Location wise, we had an extended stay and the traffic getting out each day was kind of a chore.

Friendly front desk workers. They offered a nice morning take and go sack breakfast in lieu of continental breakfast during the pandemic. I would describe this as a motel because we parked right outside our room and walked in.

Outside of room was deceiving and looked a little ragged. once inside everything was remolded and in good condition.
