Room was near entrance. Convience with exit by our room as well. Good lighting in the parking lot for cars, swimming area, and play area. So if you want to go star gazing this is not the right place. Bed was good not to hard not too soft. At least thats my comfort. Lots of pillows as well are provided

Pricy for room just to stay. View is first floor parking lot. Wanted to see more of the mountain or other view beside cars but you got to pay a bit more. Just needed a place to stay while were there. Kinda expected some tooth brushes. Went to other hotels and we had some basic nessecities but this one just provide shampoo and conditioner and soap bars.

Clean, amazing view, the complimentary s'mores and Children's activity kits are an awesome touch! The sofa beds were surprisingly comfortable, we all slept like logs. Great, friendly staff, beautiful lounge to hang out in. Overall gorgeous space

The amenities open waaaay too late. As a group with children, we wanted to get a workout in before everyone woke up. It's a bit weird, but we were lucky enough to get good weather and go for runs on the nearby trails. I also think that the price should include a continental breakfast. Moguls is conveniently located, but the food was cold and underwhelming. Everything else was great!

Location was great. Breakfast was self-serve waffles. They were good. Coffee was good, and I really appreciated the hot cider in the evening. I loved talking to the international staff.

The website needs to be improved. There were facilities there such as an indoor pool and hot tub, which were not listed on the website, so I didn’t bring my swim suit. I couldn’t find whether rooms had dishes or not. They need more information about places to cross country ski, hike and snow shoe on the facility web site. You should let the staff ski without paying so that they get to know the offerings better.

Central location to state parks and beautiful surroundings in hills overlooking lake Superior. Hiking right outside the hotel, biking and can plan adventures kayaking on Lake Superior, or day trip iCanoe in the Boundary Waters, etc.

Lack of dining options, particularly Monday and Tuesday nights at the Moguls restaurant. The public restaurant in the ski lift area recently burned down and the restaurants in Tofte close at 8PM

Lovely facility but starting to show its age. Loose tiles on bathroom floor. One kitchen light was out. Quiet at night.

Check-in experience, Sunday August 7, was abominable. When I arrived clerk not behind counter. She was talking to a couple with kids. I put my ID and CC on desk and received no response. Finally, after 5 minutes she acknowledged my presence but remained away from desk. Instead, she proceeded to act like a Soda Jerk and prepare ice cream floats for the family while I was forced to wait. When I returned to car, my wife asked what took so long. I said DESK CLERK WAS RUDE AND INEFFICIENT. ONE WEEK LATER I'M STILL UPSET AT DESK CLERK'S BEHAVIOR.

The motel was very nice, a small wait till we were able to get to our rooms, the rooms were spacious and the cool air blowing in felt fantastic. Rooms were spacious and bed was very nice. The restaurant on site was wonderful, chicken was the best I've had out. Sad...restaurant/bar area was closed both Monday and Tuesday, we would have defiantly ate there again.

The room rate seemed a little pricey for what we were using it for, with a Sunday Night through Tuesday Night and nothing going on or open. Check in was at 3 PM, we arrived from a very long night/day at 2:50 PM and had to wait 30 minutes for the room to be ready. Normally wouldn't have been an issue but I had been up over 24 hours and was ready to relax.

Our family of 5 often chooses properties with kitchens, so I usually bring half my kitchen(pan, spatulas, tongs, rice maker, whatever I feel I’ll need for the meal plan I arrange) because I have never found a kitchen stocked with anything more than the cheap, bare minimum essentials. THIS property had it all covered! It was fully stocked with quality items(sharp knives, All clad pans, etc). I was impressed! The beds felt new and very comfortable. The a\c worked well, keeping our loft cool and the downstairs bedrooms extra cool… sufficient blankets were provided to keep our downstairs dwellers cozy. And the pillows… this place is fully stocked if you love pillows like we do. Our cabin was an end unit with a wrap around deck stocked with plenty of furniture to enjoy outside time and a decent grill to cook on. The deck has no stairs, so it felt safe from critters at night. We ate dinner on the deck each night and had deer walking under and around us. We had a view was of the sunset, mountain, and down one of the black diamond runs. Many activities were available each day, for free or a small fee depending on which one. A giant bonfire and what we called Sasquatch Ladder Ball were some evening activities we enjoyed at the property. We will definitely return to this property in the winter for skiing!

The food at the Mogul was super over priced and not good quality at all. We ordered the take out pizza and wings and both were horrendous. The pizza was definitely a frozen pizza and looked like someone took half of the sausage. The wings were supposed to be buffalo sauce wings and the was no buffalo flavor at all. Worst experience ever. Will never go back to the Mogul.

The room seemed clean and updated. I really liked that they gave extra toilet paper and kleenex boxes because they don't do room service everyday, it's nice to have those on hand. They also had an extra fleece blanket in the closet and it was very snuggly- wish I could have taken it home with me. Their gift shop had lot of necessities like advil and pads which was wonderful since the nearest gas station is like 10 minutes away. Lastly their restaurant and taproom (Moguls) was awesome! We ate in the bar and the waffle fries were delicious. Our bartender, Crystal, was such a sweet, funny lady and made us lots of amazing drinks. I'd definitely recommend that place.

There was no iron in the room which was unfortunate. Also the people in the room above us walked around a lot and we could hear it, but we were so tired from traveling it didn't wake us up.

The indoor and outdoor pool facilities. It is nice to have package prices for week day stays.

The chlorine is way too strong in the hot tub. Many people commented on this. With Charlie’s gone, it is hard to find a place to eat and the Mogul’s take out menu is too limited - no healthy food available for take out. Even a salad would be nice.
