This hotel is exceptional in every way. I love staying in historic places and the old firehouse is perfect. The decor is tasteful and detailed. The entire place is spotless. Every corner is cozy and comfy. It’s in an excellent location to access Boston and Cambridge. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This was my second stay and I will definitely be returning for more. Lovely all around.

We were on the top floor, and next to us was a covered atrium with tables, chairs and internet, that was very nice to sit in and have breakfast. The breakfast was very nice (although I would have liked to have some sort of vegetables). The early check-in payment ($50+tax) was very good, as it also included breakfast on that morning. The location is excellent, as we could walk 5 minutes to the river, and 2 minutes to the subway stations. The whole vibe of the hotel was fun and interesting.

The elevator! It was very slow, both going up and down. We only discovered the atrium by chance. Since part of the bedroom was under the eaves, so the view was non-existent, and part of the ceiling was sloped.

Staff was nice, room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Bar/Restaurant staff was also very nice. Breakfast was delicious, had great options to choose from and crispy bacon. The history of the hotel was also wonderful to hear about and to see in the decorations of the hotel. The free wine tasting was also nice to enjoy. The gift bag on the door was extremely nice since it was not expected. I have never received a gift/goodie bag from any other hotel before.

Price of the pizza at the hotel should be marked down, not worth the price, it should be around $8-$10 max due to the small size (basically the size of a personal pizza).

The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is great. Super helpful. When a leak developed in our room, they quickly gave us a key to a new room and offered a bottle of wine.

Honestly, our only problems were with Booking.com. I needed to make changes to my reservation and Booking.com NEVER RESPONDED TO MY MULTIPLE REQUESTS even though it was before the deadline. I finally got in touch with the hotel directly and made some changes but had to eat two nights stay because Booking.com purposely ignored my contacts.

Very great decor, cozy, nice staff at check-in. I got upgraded to a suite at no extra cost due to my room given to another customer with special needs. Very quiet, comfortable bed, and great kitchen. It was a great surprise!

The bathtub had lots of hair stuck in the water jets, they got expelled on me when I activated them, indicating the tub was not purged or cleaned properly. The breakfast was not ideal The potatoes were too salty, and limited choice. The orange juice tasted a bit stale or expired.

We loved it! Room was comfy, clean and perfect for our needs. Complimentary healthy snacks and water were delivered to our room shortly after our arrival. We also took advantage of the free wine tasting which was very much anticipated! Enjoyed delicious sangria as well. Breakfast was plentiful - so many choices! And the coffee was AHH-MAAY-ZINNG. I've been talking about that coffee since we had it!

Pricey for sure. Wish the parking was free or at least not as expensive as it was.

The location of the hotel is perfect. We were able to take the metro which is just steps away from the hotel. I also really loved all of the thoughtful touches throughout the hotel. Clearly, this was a project of the heart the owners. We are already planning our return trip for May of 2024.

Breakfast was great, I would only add some whole grain bread options to make it perfect.

Fabulous old building in a converted fire station which was really quirky and had lots of the original fixtures and fittings. We had the suite/ apartment which was beautifully appointed and very well equipped . fixtures and fittings were lovely and the bed was so comfortable. Good choice of cooked breakfast . Staff on reception were fabulous . Great location 5 mins walk from the metro

Breakfast was served on paper plates with paper cups etc which was a shame - maybe the hangover from covid, but now we are out the other side of that, the hotel should re consider . we stayed in ten different hotels on our trip and this was the only one with disposable crockery

The room was clean and tidy and the hotel has a strong character with little fire engines miniature all over the hallways. The location is excellent and closed to the metro station to get to the city centre in less than 15m or with a nice walk. Very convenient to visit MIT which is

The view wasn't great, the neighbourhood was safe but pretty empty during the weekend. Breakfast was average and didn't meet the nice atmosphere that was in the dining room.

Kendall has a unique charm from its firehouse origins. Excellent location steps away from the Kendall metro station. Room was spacious, clean with very comfortable bedding and large size bathroom/shower. Stayed here some year's ago on business and very pleased to return for a vacation visit. Made touring Boston / Freedom Trail great using the metro to downtown. Across the street is a Legal Seafoods too!

Unfortunately, I did not book direct with the hotel; using a general booking service. That cost me an extra $20/day in parking (for $45/a day)...wish I would have known that in advance as it would have affected how I booked our vacation. The adjacent parking was underground and protected which I appreciated. Spaces however are limited in number (~20) and small...glad we were driving a MINI Cooper!
