On This Page:
Not all car racing is created equal. If you are a fan of stock car racing which includes the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, and other famous annual events held across mostly the southern U.S., you will certainly find the Miami Grand Prix, a Formula One (F1) race to be nothing short of thrilling.
First held in 2022, this year’s events will take place during the weekend of May 2-4 and is the 6th F1 race of 2025. A 57-lap race that is run over a 3.4 mile circuit at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens, the Miami Grand Prix is one of 24 spectacular F1 races held around the world. The first, the British Grand Prix, dates back to 1950. Other world-famous races include the Italian Grand Prix, Singapore Grand Prix, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and the Belgian Grand Prix.
The Miami race has been scheduled as part of the circuit for a full decade, so the event will occur at least through 2031. This year, 20 of the top Formula One race drivers in the world will compete at straightaway speeds close to 200 miles per hour along with hairpin turns that will take your breath away.
The total pool of prize money for the 2025 F1 racing season is close to $900 million, so the drivers are competing to make massive amounts of money for their sponsors which include Red Bull, Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari, among others.

What Makes Formula One Racing Unique?
There are several distinguishing characteristics of F1 racing versus stock car races. To begin with, F1 car accelerate faster due to their more powerful engines, with lighter body frames allowing for higher top speeds due to a more aerodynamic design.
Rather than continuously looping around an oval track as short as 0.53 miles long at Martinsville, Virginia or one as long as 2.66 miles at Talladega, Alabama, F1 races such as the Miami Grand Prix operate on specially designed flat courses made especially for these amazing 1,000-horsepower, open-wheel cars. No two grand prix courses are alike, with Miami’s featuring 19 turns and 2 straightaways that wrap around Hard Rock Stadium. Along the way course passes a beach, marina, palm trees, all 11 grandstands, and a slew of fan entertainment zones. The stadium is the home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, the University of Miami football team, and the annual Orange Bowl college football game.
Where Can I Find the Best Views of the Course?
What course views are the best at the Miami Grand Prix? Well, that’s all depends on what you want to see. If it’s the start and finish and cars zooming by at close to 200 miles per hour, then the Start/Finish Line is the place to be. Race fans who like to see tight turns with cars nearly attached at their rear and front bumper tend to gravitate to the Turn 18 Grandstand. This popular seating area, though you will probably be standing during much of the race, sits just above the pits and provides magnificent views of three turns and the fastest stretch.
For fans who like to party and watch the race, or even party heartily and the race is secondary, the Marina Grandstand is highly recommended. Not only will you have full access to the Marina area with its many dining and imbibing spots, but there are also several large screens where you can watch the race without having to be crammed into the grandstand.
If you have decided to splurge for club membership, the hospitality tents offer a memorable VIP experience. Check out the amazing pit views from the Paddock Club or put your feet up for a bit at The 72 Club, the premier locale to watch the Formula One race in a viewing lounge.

How Much Does it Cost to Attend the Miami Grand Prix?
Officially named the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix which is quite a mouthful, the state-of-the-art racecourse has been designed so that the more than 275,000 fans who attend each year can watch from incredibly close vantage points to the action.
There are 11 grandstands with pricing based on their location and the view from each seat. Fans have several choices of how to watch the race, with the least expensive being the General Admission Campus Pass. This will give you entry to the race grounds, but alas, without a seat.
If your primary interest is to take it all in but not be jammed into one of the grandstands, this is the way to go. You will be able to watch these powerful race cars zip by from a variety of vantage points and move about to various locations as you wish. The 3-day pass starts at $430 and includes access to a multitude of events the entire weekend. This is a reduction of $165 from the price in 2024.
If being on your feet most of the day isn’t appealing, you probably want to purchase Grandstand Passes. A very affordable option, choose to sit in the Beach Grandstand for as little as $65, the Marina Grandstand starting at $70, or the Turn 18 Grandstand from $75. These prices are for the Friday activities leading up to the actual race on Sunday. Prices increase as race day approaches, with Saturday tickets starting at $165/$175/$190 respectively. Race day tickets for these three grandstands start at $490/$505/$565, so attending the Miami Grand Prix can clearly become a major financial investment without much effort.
If money isn’t of great concern, you may want to check out the Start/Finish Grandstand and McLaren Grandstand where 3-day packages are pricey but afford incredible views of multiple turns and the final straightaway.
Just like other major sports, a die-hard racing fan attending the Miami Grand Prix is akin to the Super Bowl or game 7 of the World Series. If your plan is to go all-out this weekend, you need to know how to turn your visit into a multi-day experience. There are seven unique Club areas with daily pricing starting at $289 for a 3-day package, so if you are seeking luxury, this is certainly worth exploring. Each club offers a wide array of food and beverage options, some invaluable shade, and even a swimming pool if you happen to choose the Hard Rock Beach Club.
Other popular clubs range from the Yacht Club to the Liquid I.V. Race House, Boat House, and the extremely popular Turn 18 Club. If you have even deeper pockets or a generous company expense account, look into the five Luxury Lounges that take the Grand Prix weekend to another level. Exceedingly comfortable with comfort controlled lounges, superb dining and premium beverages, some of the best views of the course are located here.
