Loved the room, it was small but clean and comfortable. The room had a water view, which was nice, but no shears, just room darkening shades. After a couple of days we realized that the outside of the windows had a mirrored finish so during the day you could not see in from the outside, but in the evenings, you had to put the shades down, so no view. When we arrived (on a Sunday) the resort was packed. There is a huge Tiki bar and music and it appeared from the crowds of people, the place to be for weekends. It is only this way on weekends, the rest of the week it was quiet. The pool area was nice, but the pool lounges were hard plastic and not very comfortable.

The bathroom was updated and nice, but small and it had a pedestal sink. There was a glass shelf above the sink but very little room for bathroom supplies. The bathroom door had fixed louvers, so not much privacy regarding sounds and smells. The provided bath towels were small and thin and wash cloths were very thin and rough, no hand towels provided. We paid extra for the daily breakfast, but it was not great. After one day, we went out for breakfast the rest of the week.

Very private. Could stay away from big kids party or huge crowd. Unexpected complimentary breakfast was good for free morning coffee.

A little pricey as with whole amenities. Pool should be cleaned every morning, bug all over on surface. A ton of mosquito there due to location. For customers’ safety, something should be around each room and outdoor area. Cleaners never wiped bloody dead mosquitoes on the wall ever.

I liked the back porch watching the boat go by. The breakfast was great

I didn’t like the giant 60 ft boat docking right in front of my porch blocking the view. There seemed to be a boat docked there everyday but this was by far the biggest The resort also told booking that they would honor our upgrade to the first floor but they refused when we arrived My husband has Parkinson’s so we just paid the the extra cost

Location location location. Lovely little beach. Good breakfast buffet. Super friendly staff and servers at the restaurant and tiki bar. Very upbeat vibe to the atmosphere. Room was very clean. Food was great. Kayaking, paddle board and jet skis available. Good security around the clock.

It would be nice to have the ability to charge to the room so there is only 1 bill at the end. Breakfast could use a little variety and more fresh fruit ... berries and melon and grapes. Fresh oatmeal (not packaged), healthier yogurt options, english muffins...fresh baked goods vs. packaged. Discount coupons to area restaurants and attractions. DVD players in the rooms would be helpful for those who are not into partying late into the night....and a RedBox.

This place is so great! The rooms are small but super comfy with soft towels and lots of very comfortable pillows. There are several huge tiki bars, a small private beach, and a large restaurant with live music. The restaurant /bars look over the west side of the water for stunning sunset views. The fist floor rooms feature decks /docks for fishing. The breakfast is decent ! (Very similar to most Hilton or Marriott offerings). Muffins, bagels, scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage, coffee/tea All in a very pretty, bright room adjacent to the main office that looks out over the marina. Friendly staff and very efficient.

The Gilbert's ressort has a great location to visit Florida Keys, the Everglades and Miami. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The bathrooms were good. We also enjoyed the Tiki Bar and some sunsets at the beach. In the mornings there is a good breakfast.

The staff could have been a bit more friendly. It was our first time at Gilbert's and some information, e.g., about parking, swimming or activites near by would have been helpful to us.

the view is amazing and the room is very clean and comfortable but kinda small space for 2 imagine for 4 people family. good place to go a little time vacay.

the beach area is way too small and hard to enjoy because it stays more for the kids and have some white powered in the water that made me didn’t want to go in, not a enjoy the beach area. The restaurant they have near is good but some food for us was not well served and I needed to return it, my sandwich came only plain bread and fish in it! and at night they had blackout in the system. Food could be way better for the price and place.

Could park close to room so easy access. rear room door opens onto pier right on water. this is a good thing in daytime but can get noisy late into night. room exceptionally clean and room service was basically done cleaning each day by noon. good breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage and many other items. nice pool.

did not figure out until last day that the orange cones in the parking spaces were there to hold for your room.

It's a lovely place - we were only there for one night, so we used the pool, enjoyed the views, and left early in the morning to continue our drive down the keys. It's a beautiful setting and I could have stayed there longer.

Shared space with other guests outside the room is close. The couple next door were so drunk, when they started arguing it became uncomfortable sitting and enjoying the view, so we ended up going to bed early. I think that's luck of the draw, though (we were there during spring break). Rooms are soundproof, though, so that was something.
