The Place was nice, very clean and staff were great. The directional signs hanging on the walls are a bit of a challenge though. You have to have a little sense of humor in it all though. When you enter the corridor for the elevator, on one wall the sign that says pool and gives an arrow pointing the direction of the pool, points one direction, When you turn to the left and read the sign that points to the pool, it points in the complete opposite direction... on the third floor the directional arrows for the elevator that shows if you want to go up or down a floor, they both point up..... You just have to laugh at some things that make your stay a little more enjoyable, even big corporate business make mistakes too!!!!

The web site shows pictures of the pool area and shows there is a hot tub in one corner of the deck. When we got there, we were informed that there is not hot tub at the facility. The air conditioner in the room would not cool below 73 deg. we cranked it down to 68 and it never got below 73, and it felt hotter than that in the room, I only had to go on what the thermostat on the wall said. In fact when we got there it felt warm in the room and the temp. said it was 70, we turned it down to cool off initially and the thermostat actually went up and stayed at 73 for the rest of the night. Outside of this we enjoyed the room as, it was clean and comfortable...

The lady that was bringing out the breakfast came over to us and ask if both of us were eating. Then asked us if we knew there was a charge for breakfast. When I said I wasn’t aware of that (which it wasn’t a problem, I just didn’t know) she then told me she would be back with the bill. When she returned she had an attitude when she found out I had already checked out and reminded me I still had to pay for the one breakfast. (Again paying for it wasn’t a problem, wouldn’t have checked out beforehand if I knew you had to pay for breakfast). All in all it just seemed like she assumed we were trying to steal food or try to get away without paying for it.

The room was super clean and bed was comfortable. Pool area was small but nice. Front area was updated and welcoming. Elevators were clean and moved quickly.

Breakfast was cold at 9:00 am on breakfast bar. When I needed to leave and check out at 3:30- 4:00 am, there was no one at the front desk and no one around. I left my key at the desk with a post-it and as I was leaving the employee came up with an attitude until I expressed what I was doing, then he replied- okay you are all done. Other than that everyone was super friendly.

For many years I’ve chose Marriot for the amazing breakfast but the price for it was $10 and between the front desk and the ticket lady kept asking the residents for tickets and to see their face was absolutely appalling and not even to speak about an extra mile to make it Mother’s Day friendly. Lastly it’s not worth $10 the plates were filthy several of them and when I asked the ticket lady about the plates she said that’s because the plates were old and it was clearly not the case because it was the cheese that was stuck on plates.

Air conditioner controls were puzzling. The toilet leaked into the bowl.i.e the gasket was worn and let water into the bowl every ten minutes for about 10 seconds. This continued for several hours until I shut the water supply off until morning. The noise level was very annoying i.e tv could be heard until 1 in the morning. I heard noises sounding like Snoring from the wall behind the Bed. This lasted for about 2 hours from 1 to 3 am. Are the walls insulated for noise reduction?

Very convenient and clean

The fact that on two different occasions I had to change room bcz the shower water wouldn’t go down due to the fact that customers wash there hair in tub, and MAINTENANCE DO NOT MAKE SURE to at least go to every room to make sure it’s usable. I think that should be MANDATORY on a wkly basis.

Big, spacious property, modernized rooms

Horrible smell in the hallways and by the elevator, restaurant was “closed” for an event according to an employee - it was 7pm and no one was around.

The A/C was loud. And the shower needs upgrades...tub had paint chipping but most importantly when you pulled handle to switch water from tub to shower it came out from both. Never had enough water flow from shower head due to old tub!!!!

I used to live nearby so the hotel provided exceptional access to places I used to go. Breakfast was great as well and my room provided ample space. There's now an ice rink a block away, so bring your skating/hockey gear with you.
